Im being honest…are they?
Im really concerned for 343, if they’re a bunch of bots running the company lolololololol

No.ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
The challenge system (or should i say progression system?)
Lack of maps, content, enjoyable events.
COOP Campaign?
Forge?
Millions of customization options? We coukd play any other game from 10 years ago and have more than what Infinite is offering. Not to mention lack of variability.
If you dont have the content…dont release the game. We waited years for this and we got very limited content.
If they had any shame they’d be embarrassed
The biggest issue (IMO) is that the people that pull strings at 343 don’t care and are not being affected by their decisions. They clearly don’t listen to the community, they know nothing about the actual game or its history, they clearly can’t make a decent plan, and all they seem to be able to do is worse each time.
How tragic is it that the have decades of material to draw from and literally can’t find a path…
I’ve put a TON of time into this franchise. Halo:CE campaign and lans for hours on end until the release of halo 2 and xbox live. Then, i put hours and hours into halo 2 (on live and over lan). Put in hours upon hours in high school and college into halo 3 and then reach.
Halo 4 came out and it was ehh (first 343 game).
Halo 5 i only played so much because of the spartan company i was apart of. It wasnt a terrible game, had some quality gameplay and content.
But Infinite…wheres the content? Its a joke. Hate the progression and challenges. Did i mention where the content is?
Absolutely love MCC though.
Its sad the direction 343 has taken with this franchise. I feel terrible for Bungie.
Same. I dumped so much of my teenage years into Halo its not even funny. I remember watching the Halo preview when the og xbox launched, what great times. I remember how hype everyone was for H2 and how great it was even though we had relatively little back then. (Laugh at Infinite) Ever since 343 took over they’ve only gotten one thing right (IMO) and that was the MCC to some extent. They have not once made a reasonably contiguous story with any Halo. At all. 4 left people questioning what was going on, 5 had people wondering who the hell half the characters in the game were. 4 and 5 had decent multiplayers, but with Infinite its like WTH are you guys doing. Did they throw the whole Halo recipe away and just try to build Halo off a fortnite model and just make a massive open world for people to roam with no real connection to the past lore… Its like they tried to make a completely different Halo for the younger generation whos has no knowledge of the lore. They would be the only people that would not have an issue with this product.
Eh, I wouldn’t be surprised. They might be trying. They might be trying to make a game with annoying elements that are questionably worse than what we had with Reach. They might be trying to make a really good and fun game. Either way, reception is mixed.
The way I see it, they dug their own hole of shame. The contract workers, the difficult game engine, multiple heads switching out, and the numerous accusations of management problems are all coming back to bite them in the behind. Now, 343 is trying its best to get out of that hole, but they’re probably realizing just how big it is and can only take small steps.
I think the artists and the gameplay designers and the people who came up with the scope of this game have done a fantastic job and should get a lot of praise for what they’ve achieved.
I think the multiplayer / live service team are incompetent and out of touch and don’t understand how to make the most of the work the above teams built, and should be extradited from the company.
Its a mixed bag, but my fear is all the people that have done good work in building the foundation of this game left before launch and all that’s left are the latter group.
Well if you look at what’s happening internally, yea they are trying but are going to keep fighting an uphill battle, likely a battle many of them don’t want either. Very disappointing overall. Not gonna lie, if I worked at 343 I would have quit already. No need to deal with that toxic environment.
I’ve heard that they are holding stuff back for a big drop for S2.
Just a rumored leak though
Kinda hope so tbh because in it’s current state the game needs a full re-launch to stay relevant to anyone but the competitive diehards (Who are also just as annoyed, it’s just they play less other games so don’t just drop it like the rest of us).
No, just people running the show that don’t play their own game treating Halo as a business that Has ruined Halo.
As a whole, they are certainly trying, but their goals/priorities for halo are different from ours. So, they aren’t really “trying” like we want them to. The ones that want the same things for halo that we want have moved on by now.
Their devs probably are, but their leaders aren’t. That would explain why so many people are leaving, both from the customers’ standpoint and the staff’s.
No they ain’t trying and I’m done asking for anything anymore. I quit, infinite is a game that is going to be banished from the series just on multiplayer alone.
It was clearly and fundamentally released to coincide with the HCS tournament scheduling.
I truly believe that 343i is truly trying and putting their best foot forward.
What? 10x more challenges? Lololol
