Is 343 allowed to have the Seige of Madrigal?

Hey guys, so I am an easter egg buff when it comes to Halo and searching for them is by far one of my favorite things to do in Halo. So in Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST and Reach, the Seige of Madrigal easter egg was present which is a song by Marty o’ donnell hidden in each game. Can 343 put them in their newer Halo games?

It was in H2A so probably.

I’m sure bungie will not mind because it’s been in halo

I don’t think so. Siege of Madrigal isn’t really a Halo track, though it’s been in every Bungie Halo game. I believe it’s from one of Bungies earlier games, Myth. It being in Halo MCC was likely because Microsoft owned the rights to all the content in the game, and thus could publish it, but I don’t think they can use that track without Marty’s permission.

I’m going to miss it though, I liked Siege of Madrigal.

EDIT: After a quick search, it appears the track was used in Destiny. Pretty sure Marty owns it and thus, MS can’t use it in future Halo titles (without asking, anyway).

If they ask I’m sure he would say yes

I’m sure Marty wouldn’t mind if he owns it. Especially since bungie tried screwing him over so bad. I wouldn’t be surprised if he started working with Microsoft again.
