Iron sight

Many of you may know iron sight it is in call of duty. Its where and look on the part of the gun sticking up at the end and would it be cool to see that feature in halo 4 not saying to copy call of duty but maybe ajust it and make it better.

Facepalm
No.
This is halo, not CoD.

No I really don’t see a point to have iron sights on all weapons, just a scope on my br/dmr is the way to go so that weapon pickup is key for mid to long range engagementss

The thing is, Halo weapons do have iron sights, but the way the MJLONIR armor works is that the spartan squints to zoom in and is electronically connected to the weapons. You never actually raise weapons such as the sniper rifle or DMR to look through the scope, it is just projected onto the HUD. So putting it where you look through iron sights kinda defeats the purpose of having all the fancy technology and wouldnt make sense from a canonical standpoint. Also, MC’s helmet would get in the way.

No thanks.

I wouldn’t mind seeing ADS in a spin-off game as a gameplay experiment, but not in a main series title.

I think this would answer why Halo doesn’t add Iron Sights:

funny that 90% of the weapons you see in halo son’t even HAVE and iron shight/scope

exaples of the ones that do,

-BR/DMR
-Sniper rifle
-Plasma pistol (reach version)
-SPlaser
-FRG
-Plasma launcher
-noob tube

what about the other weapons

There is literally no point to using one when where you aim is literally hardwired in your brain.

Besides, what would it do? Decrease the already negligible bullet spread and recoil?

I have never played, nor will I ever play a FPS with ADS ironsights on the majority of the weapons. ADS promotes camping, it takes aim skill away from the game, and the only place it belongs is military shooters never a Sci-Fi shooter. Thank god Frankie understands Halo enough that he would never let it happen and understands why there is no ironsights.

That’s not even a real excuse.
CoD wasnt the first game to show off iron sights, just about every other shooter that has no relation to valve have implemented iron sights.

But should it be in Halo? No. It wouldnt be the same feel. And as everyone else are also saying, a lot of Halo weapons dont even have iron sights. I cant even imagine using iron sights with AR. And most weapons that do either do nothing, or connect to your smart scope which zooms in the view. And it’s the smart scope feature I prefer.

It never will be a part of Halo it dosnt fit into the gameplay style. Like others have said it belongs in moder military shooters.

I really don’t think iron sights would be beneficial to halo’s gameplay.

Halo is one of the last semi-run 'n gun FPS’s out there. Adding iron sights would just slow down the game even more (having to slow down your movement to aim properly).

this is the year 2552. can we stop with all this COD crap already?

Halo CE: Anniversary: Anniversary is released
YEEEEEEEEEEEEES!
Wait, what?

why? your HUD aims for you. Nobody would use it, they would die while walking slowly.

Furthermore, iron sights is the compensation for a game’s universal inaccuracy. Halo’s hip-firing is already accurate.
