Iron Sight BR in H5G MP Beta Trailer?

Did anyone else notice that a Blue Spartan was holding a BR with no scope attached at 0:23 seconds in the video? It appears right after the “60 FPS on Dedicated Servers” screen when the Spartan is sliding behind cover.

Comparison between Trailer Image, BR, and MA5K: http://postimg.org/image/637ipijp5/

Some people thought it was some other gun entirely. One from the books. New to the games. There was a thread about it they said it was the MA5K… I couldn’t imagine a scopeless BR.

Oh, which book? I have yet to read the last book of the Kilo 5 series.

Definitely not a BR. Look at the magazine counter. 72 rounds!

The SAW has that, but this doesn’t look like the SAW. (I agree wit hit being the MA5K ^^)

if it is a new weapon, my hope is for a DMBR, a combo rifle that allows you to switch between a medium-range 3-burst BR shot or a single shot, long distance DMR shot.

I don’t think 343i will go that far. They know AA’s are dividing the community, scopes and iron sights will mean uproar.

that gun is probably either an BR where the animators forgot a scope should be on, or a MA5K I believe it was.
the gun from the Ghosts of Onyx cover. Basically a BR without scope and suited for closer quarters

Whoops. I was looking at the one the red Spartan had when he was locking-and-loading.

I think it might actually be the MA5K.

@Loken - It’s from Ghosts of Onyx. The S-IIIs used those a lot.

Seems its this MA5K people have been talking about (Btw, its Sprtan Abilities, not AA, And aparently SA are completely different.)

I dunno. The MA5K is a possibility, but it looks eerily similar to the BR to me. The yellow stripe that was added to the BR in Halo 4 makes it pretty distinct. Check out the comparison photo I made and let me know what you think

Unused files in Halo 4 has a 72 round clip for the Br plus’s the XBR55 has 60 rounds so it still could be a BR.

It’s definitely the MA5K. Here’s a link to compare-

My initial thought was the MA5K, a second look leads me to agree with my first impression.

It is the halo 4 br with black and silver color schemes. It’s barrel and stock are two long and large to be the ma5k.

Looks like an MA5K or a variant of manufactured by Misriah, explaining why it has color and design similarities to the BR85HB SR Battle Rifle.

Holy crap it does look like the MA5K.

Bear in mind that although Spartans might aim down sight in a cutscene or during training doesn’t make it automatically apply to actual gameplay. I doubt 343I would do aim down sights anyways with how vocally against it people are.

This discussion has nothing to do with ADsing. Its about a new weapon.

Looks like the Harrier with an ammo upgrade from ME3

as an odd comparison, I’m not actually contributing to the MA5K discussion

If it is the MA5K, then holy bajeebus! That would be awesome!! That much more diversity to the battlefield >:D

As a person with an open mind (not saying you all do not), I think it is an a MA5K, but with some modifications. You see, this weapon looks similar to the H:4 BR (Battle Rifle), and the MA5K in the Ghost of Onyx cover art (pre-H:4) looks similar to the pre-H:4 BR. Do you see my point?
