When I originally opted in before the first July tech preview I still had a Series X. Ended up playing the July preview on my PC and now that’s all I have. I just received the invite for this weekend but it’s only for Xbox… Is there any way around this or am I screwed for this weekend and the upcoming?

If you didn’t update your flight profile by the 13th to correctly set your preferred platform, then you’re out of luck at the moment I’m afraid. You can switch platforms during flights

I personally was never given a choice of preferred platform because I absolutely would have chosen PC, but instead got stuck with an Xbox code.
Update: Just checked again, there are no settings anywhere for a preferred platform anywhere under Halo Insider.

Under the big “FLIGHTING” section there is “CONSOLE FLIGHTING” and “PC FLIGHTING” and if there’s the big green checkmark next to console flighting, then you’ve indicated you’re willing to play on console…

Yes I have both set up, however there’s no mention of a preferred platform anywhere, and I never received that option because I would have answered with PC.
So I opted out of the Xbox on the insider program and viola a few hours later received a steam code. Grateful that worked out for me.
To everyone else having the same issue, give it a try and hopefully you’ll get a code!

Exacly the same issue, for some reasson ive been invited to the xbox version when as far as i remember i only asked for the pc one since its my only device avalible

Trying it right now, hoping for the best
was in the pc closed tech last time but for some reason I didn’t get a invite code despite having the email telling me I’m in it.

Same, just received xbox message for flight access this weekend 10/1/21, but I never opted in for xbox, only PC, it has the check mark and everything. No steam code
