Invisible ranks can be a good thing

Remember in Halo 3 when people would bash you for being a low rank? Then in Reach, your skill was kinda based on your K/D and not your rank? This can be a good thing and then it also wouldn’t be a good thing based on peoples opinions.

In my opinion, its alright, I kind of care more about my K/D being positive then my rank. I’m not a K/D -Yoink!- but having a positive K/D is good in some peoples opinions. A simple rank should not represent you, your stats and your overall skill should. How good you are should not be based on how long you play(Reach) but on how good you play (Halo 2,3)

Anyone agree?

I agree.

so where is the post about them saying there will be invisible ranks in halo 4?

A K/D cannot represent one’s skill either.

Don’t know, but all this I’m hearing on this “invisible rank system” made me decide to create a thread. I know theres a post that has a link on the 1st page.

It actually can. My K/D is .72 in Halo 3, because well I sucked at the BR at first. My K/D was the same exact thing in Reach at first, now its a 1.5. So yeah it actually can depending of how you interpret it.

It shouldn’t depend on k/d, it should be w/l sine a person might not always get the kill, but he could be a big assist to his/her team.
