On the first mission Winter Contingency, I noticed an invisible Elite running off in some direction so I tried to kill him for the Data Pad but he just seems too hard to kill with just a Pistol and an Assault Rifle. If only there was a Sniper Rifle I would have killed him so easily. Any tips on killing this Elite?
I would like to find out a better way to kill him as well.
Stickies… You should have some at this point. Granted you need to get close to do it. But sprint helps with that. Or if you get good at it you can sprint, turn, assassinate.
You can’t find stickies that early in the level. I say just shoot him, not easy, but can be done with practice.
Yeah, no. You don’t even have regular frag grenades yet, and even sprinting as much as possible, one cannot catch up to him.
I’ve been able to get his shields down, but never kill him, not even on co-op.
I believe there is an active camo elite on every level, and each one has gold armor, they’re Bobs.

There are only one ‘special’ SpecOp(Armor configuration and camo) Elite in the campaign. The BOBs you are refering to, however, exist on every level, and they are instantly recognizable by their Golden Ranger Armor, and the fact that they rather run than shoot you, until shot. There is only one per level, and are found on Legendary and Heroic only.

If you sprint twice, it should get you close enough to do some damage with your pistol, and he will stop momentarily. When your clip is empty, dont reload, switch weapons and use short bursts to bring him down. It took me seven or eight tries to finally down him and get the data pad.
Having all four people in co-op helps, but it can be done with one. I advise shooting with pistols, as otherwise the range is too great.
I don’t think it’s a BOB, but I can’t remember. Be quick about killing, as he disappears round a corner very quickly.
Everyone says that he’s gone pretty quick; I actually had enough time to reload my pistol and have a second go at him. I got him piece-o’-cake.
He seems to run slower than I can: I just Sprint till it runs out, scope in, and shoot while moving forward to cut him off. You should get close enough for your pistol to actually be effective after about 6 paced bullets.
