INVIS should be a Ordnance Drop or remove it

Every game now is just a bunch of campers with invis. Every match has at least half of the opposing team using invis with power weapons.

Ragnarök when everyone is using invis its just boring and annoying.

Give everyone OS for a AA then if we can all use an OP AA. ← joke

This really needs fixed because its getting old. If a good player uses invis
and gets the first few shots on you before you can react then your dead.

I don’t want halo to turn into hide n’ go seek.

I thought jetpack/armor lock was bad, at least with those two AA’s you could
see the person.

Making it become an Ordnance would solve all these issues and would
cause players to choose between invis or a weapon. I mean it wouldn’t last forever
and OS is a ordnance drop so it would fit perfectly.

I agree if they don’t make it a ordnance I want over shield at the push of a button so then everyone can have OP AAs

you see those blue dots on the radar? throw a grenade into there

Agree 100%. Also I’m starting to see a lot of the noob combo now that you can set your loadouts to which pistol you want to start with. It want be long you will see everyone carrying it. Boltshot is like carrying a shotgun.

You act as if this is new, we’ve been dealing with it in Reach for years. It’s fine, if you know how to handle it that is. If the other team is overusing camo, switch up your loadout to Promethean vision. It’s not that hard to figure out.

Did OP have a bad match on ragnarok and die because if active camo?

> you see those blue dots on the radar? throw a grenade into there

Doesn’t help when they are across the map

Agreed! Invis is just not meant to be something u spawn with. Looking back on the first three halos, invis wasn’t exploited. In reach, and even more so in H4, camo is exploited by players who have less skill. No offense to anyone ofcourse, but the only reason you would want invis is to hide and get a few shots on target before ur enemy can find u. Some would say it is fair because everyone can spawn with it, and it is fair, it is just a game breaking armor ability that makes everybody else’s experiences worse.

Agreed with OP!

For the sake of maintaining the integrity of custom loadouts and armor abilities, I think camo should be in Halo 4 for the duration.

I would like to see it nerfed, however. Currently, when in camo, you can easily spot enemies on your motion tracker. That should go. Also, you have almost up to half walking speed to move without losing any of your camo ability. That should be more sensitive so that you are only at 100% camo when you are perfectly still. I wouldn’t mind if even right thumbstick movement affected the quality of your camo.

Finally, one hit should completely deactivate camo. I’ve been in fights with guys where I still didn’t have any aim assist by my third BR burst, and he’s even moving.

For Halo 5, I would love to see it return to power-up status. As it is, with the nerfs it requires to fit nicely within the AA sandbox, it’s just not doing active camo any justice.

I personally don’t mind having invisible as a AA. I don’t exploit it too much and mainly use it as a safety net to try to help hide myself from other players when they already know I’m in the area.

If the problem the OP had was, as others have said, invisible snipers on Ragnarok, then most prominent thing would be to try to duck around the rocks and cover as much as possible. Or any other map for that matter. After all, aside from ease of access, how is this different than finding a hidden nook at the top of a level with the use of a jetpack that only leaves the sniper’s head completely exposed and gives him free view of the whole field? My memory is bad for specifics but I know that such things existed in Reach and 3 (provided you jumped right).

Edit: I believe that really any 2 nerfs that camo needs are A:) It should be shorter. Seems like people can be in camo forever (myself included) and that just doesn’t seem right to me. And B:) Like the previous poster said, if the camo user gets shot they should be knocked out of it. They already know they’ve been made, the shooter in question can see their shield flickering, and if they do get to safety the AA will have run dry by that time anyway.

Because seeing through walls, flying through the sky and tricking your foes with holograms isn’t cheap. People just like to complain instead of trying to adjust to how others play the game.

I have never once gotten angry because someone was using camo. Half the time if you don’t see the radar going nuts you can clearly see them coming. Anyone who’s seen a predator film of played the previous bazillion Halo games knows how to spot a camo user a mile away.

I am getting really tired of these threads about “This weapon needs a nerf/buff” or “this armour ability needs a nerf/buff/removal”. I think all the AA’s in this game are balanced. With invisibility, you can do really well, but it takes one guy who knows what he is doing to take you down. First off, they have very limited motion because they have to crouch walk or they are only semi-transparent. Second, the radar goes crazy whenever someone uses camo so when your radar gets a ton of blue dots throw a grenade in the most obvious camping corner followed up with a few shots. Hologram is also your friend here. It is the perfect AA to lure someone out of hiding so you can shoot/assassinate them. You could also just crouch walk toward the corner (if a wall is between you) so they don’t know your comming and you can get first shot or a grenade in that way. Point being, if you dedicated some time into devising a plan to overcome instead of comming here and complaining you might solve this problem without having it taken from the game.

Here we go another this “AA is too powerful and needs to be removed.” Like many people have said if your close enough USE YOUR RADAR! kind of shows you were people are. Secondly it isn’t an automatic loss if someone shoots on you first I’ve been in plenty of firefights where they guy got two/three shots on me but I still won because I got to cover then came back and landed my shots to the head before he got his shots on me. To beat anything it doesn’t matter what AA some uses it comes down to 1. Land more headshots than your foe 2. Use cover cause they can’t shoot you if they can’t see you and finally 3. Use radar I mean half the time I notice people don’t even pay attention to it so they get jumped.

> Did OP have a bad match on ragnarok and die because if active camo?

must be and now he is mad and made a angry thread about it.

My name is esc1 and I approve this message.

I have to admit, I use it a lot as it is the only decent all rounder, PV only good on small maps, and everything else sucks IMO.

Just pay attention to your radar in cqc and at distance if someone gets the drop on you your dead anyway if they are invisible or not, use cover?

I feel that all aa’s are fine except thruster pack (short distance, base to base is good), hardlight shield (should vaporise enemies on touch), auto sentry (a little more punch, maybe some rockets), regen field (needs to provide a shield and auto sentry(with rockets)), preomethean vision (should only show allies), hologram (should be more of them and they should have the ability to fire and kill enemies), jet pack (should be able to break the sound barrier)

I dunno, but all the good players easily trash camo users.

I think it’s just that you need to…get better.
