The title is sarcastic, although it relates to the issue I have experienced for the 17th time now. I was playing Big Team Infinity Slayer on Exile. I crossed paths with an enemy spartan who was carrying a sniper rifle. I moved left and right to screw up his aim and shot a sticky detonator by his feet. It exploded taking down his shields. I switched to my DMR and put a bullet in his head. Normally this would kill a spartan in my experience. Sadly for me, he didn’t die and no scoped me in the face… I have ran into this issue on many other occasions shooting a spartan who’s shields are depleted in the head with DMR or battle rifle and they didn’t die. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?
Could be really bad and seemingly biased lag.
Likely some lag, considering it is Big Team Battle, I’d think so even more.
Nothing you can do about it sadly other than respawn and hope it doesn’t lag again.
I don’t think that lag was behind this as players who lag normally teleport around in their general location. Sorry, it looks like they teleport when they’re lagging. He wasn’t lagging as far as I could tell. Nor was I lagging.

Teleporting players isn’t always the only thing you’ll see from lag, when you shot your bullet, the packet was dropped when sent to the host, so the shot didn’t register and you didn’t get the kill.
Another way to tell that you were lagging is grenade tossing. With lag, grenades take about a second to actually launch after the toss animation. Another type of delay is when riding or exiting vehicles. It takes a little while longer than lagless gameplay to get in/out of the vehicle.
As far as I know, you could only adapt to it. Very rarely have I had lagless matches.
you missed.
> you missed.
Going to be honest… this one made me lol a little…
Maybe the helmet was bulletproof? Now that I think about it, most of the UNSC helmets should be bulletproof or offer some kind of protection. What else are they for, besides a fancy HUD lol?
