Here you can share your ideas for new game-types. There is no limit although it would be recommended if your idea was actually feasible to go on the Xbox One.
I will start with my own game-type.
BTB Invasion (not final name)
Basically it would be Invasion with 12v12 (should be possible on the Xbox One) and there would also be added features from other game-types e.g. dominion, VIP, forge and extraction.
There could maybe up to 5 areas (opposed to 3 in Reach) and you could have access to more bigger vehicles e.g. Pelican, Phantom, Elephant or Scarab(?).
There would be 1 person chosen from each team randomly that would work like the VIP kind of like Halo Wars where you get to command your team and at the final area maybe the attackers would kill the defenders VIP to win the game. The VIP can call down Vehicles, ammo, dominion turrets or building blocks to make barricades/build on new territory.
If at the start of the game If the first chosen person declines the offer to be the VIP then it will chose another person randomly and so on until eventually someone is chosen who wants to be the VIP. If the VIP is AFK not cooperating or just being silly, regular players on their team can chose to boot the VIP and get a regular player to become the VIP.
There is still a lot of problems with this game-type but if it was done properly, I think it would be very fun.

Its an invasion like game mode (possibly go into the invasion playlist presuming it has its own) with one team defending and the other attacking
The defenders have a set amount of lives such as 50,100 or 200 with the increased player count. Anyway the defenders have a base or to defend with a generator(s) to defend with a huge amount of health so the match will last long. The defenders are well equipped with defensive equipment like sentry turrets etc. yet once this equipment is destroyed its gone and the players wont respawn if they’re killed when they don’t have any lives left amongst their team which could lead to a theatre worthy last stand
The attackers have an infinite amount of lives and have to destroy the objective or kill as many of the other team as required, the attackers start out with basic equipment so they don’t have a huge advantage over the defenders but aren’t completely useless. Every couple of minutes say 2-3 (can be altered) a pelican and/or phantom will drop of reinforcements such as a warthog or scorpion etc. ( drops of 3 things at different landing zones) and a 5% chance to drop a bomb along with the weapon caches that ALWAYS get dropped along with the reinforcements which can destroy a generator instantly if planted. These dropships can be shot down under heavy amounts of fire. So the attackers will grind down the defenders in a war of attrition until they’ve taken the base.
The game could also incorporate AI if they’re added to forge with marines or covy allies (for the elites) being dropped of in the dropships or help defend.
The game is scored on who lasts the longest overall as the defenders

Add on:
The attacking team can be placed in a dropship or drop via droppod (this is highly dependent upon forge) to give the defenders time to set up and for an awesome entry
One team has a package(s) to get to a drop zone on the other end of the map this is like a forrunner artefact in the shape of the oddball or the core from invasion and the other has to prevent them from doing so.
Flag like package (pistol in opposite hand) = 1 point
Oddball like package (both hands but not throwable unlike the oddball)= 2 points
Core like object= 3 points
Big object requires 2 players to carry across the map they however can hold pistols (like in gears 2 with the explosive charge in the 3rd act)= 5 points
10 points to win then switch sides 10 minutes to win and the overall winner is who extracted the most artefacts
