I think 343 should just get rid of it and make skirmish for larger maps.
Invasion Slayer is just Big Team Battle Slayer with 12 people, remove Invasion Slayer, keep JUST Invasion.
Invasion slayer is fine as is, at the moment the elite start off slow but if they are coordinated you will be the one getting sniper/rocket first tier and then banshee in second.
agreed, invasion slayer is really unbalanced, though, i do like skirmish slayer since it is spartans vs spartans and ellites vs elites, there is also the objectives that you have to control to earn weapon drops for the advantage.
I agree, mostly. Certain maps like Paradisio and Inv. Skirmish maps are acceptably balanced, but Hemorrhage is a death sentence for elites almost all the time.
I always dashboard when I’m blue team on Hemorrhage. Even if the elite with their sniper rifle makes all 12 shots, the spartan reinforcements always come with more sniper ammo. I’ve routinely seen people who time their zone captures right and go on uncontrolled rampages with the sniper rifle for the whole game.
And if a spartan manages to snag a banshee from blue team, then the game is pretty much over. I would suggest that playlist engineers investigate ways to improve balancing in these instances, but there’s simply too much. It would make more sense to just remove Hemmorhage and replace it with a community map or something.

Well if you knew how to play then you wouldn’t be complaining too much. It’s easy to win as an Elite.
For example, your an Elite in the first stage and the territory spawns on your side of the map why cap it when your team can sit there and let spartan after spartan come in and get team killed?
Why do you need a sword or shotgun off spawan on these maps when you can set back and get kill after kill with the NR?
Spartans have the advantage by spawning in with pistols, so they can get the lead. Probably would be good if they tried turning off headshots to balance it out. Besides, I thought the initial design for Invasion was Spartans getting better weapons, the Elites being naturally stronger.
Players don’t even go for the capture point, they usually let the other team do it to save them the time and then attack them while they’re loading in and steal them. I think they should change it and make all weapons and vehicles locked to their respective race. Even if the Elites can spawn a Banshee in, the Spartans get a Grenade Launcher on spawn and can steal it from them. Who have trouble getting it back, even with Plasma Pistols on spawn.

but if the capture point is at the spartan base, they get a sniper, and they alredy have DMRs
This discussion is more appropriate for the Matchmaking forum.
A simple solution though, would be to make it 2 rounds. Once as spartan, once as Elites.
The way the load out system works between the different races means invasion slayer will never be balanced. It just wasn’t meant to be with the Halo sandbox of weapons.
The only reason it exists is if people will play it anyways just to get a kick out of Spartan vs Elite action which a lot of people do. But if you care at all about winning I probably wouldn’t get into the gametype. It just wasn’t meant to be an even playing field.
Personnaly, I dislike it and I dont’ expect the gametype to return in future Titles.
