Invasion was quite a gametype back in Halo Reach that many players enjoyed. It was perhaps the 2nd most common gametype played in Custom games. I was (as many people were) disappointed when I found out that the Elites were no longer playable and that Invasion did not make a return in Halo 4.
What do you think? Should Invasion and playable Elites make a comeback?
Yes they have too!!
I mean playing as Elites as they are in Halo Reach than simple reskinned spartans is what made them so fun!! And Invasion was probably the most successful gametype ever made, i would as far to say it was as successful if not more than infection!!
With the new hardware for the Xbox One it would be possible for them to do something like this. Imagine a scenario where a fleet of UNSC and Storm Covenant ships are locked in combat. While that’s all happening, the Elites you play as are in Phantoms about to board a UNSC frigate to steal the Core. While the Phantoms are about to board, the Spartans are given this time to set up defensive positions and etc.
Though, I’m probably getting my hopes too high up.
