Invasion itself won’t return, but there is something to “scratch the itch.” Expect something fairly similar.
I’m positive Longbow was designed for a gametype similar to Invasion.
Invasion without elites? No thank you…

I think it should return, but as I’ve said in my thread, some adjustments need to be made.
I believe it should return, and it will BUT not in the way that we know it. Nor will it be called Invasion.
Their comment that there will be something to “Scratch the Itch” interests me and im excited to know how they plan on filling the gap with spartan vs spartan.
I am also excited to see if they do anything to the Infection game mode 
It’s my favourite gametype ever in Halo and is always highly populated. Kiki Wolfkill confirmed it’s returning and that it is very important to keep it in future Halo games.
I voted yes, but it’s only in hope that they will put playable elites back, it was nice to be able to control them
Sure hope it’s in. It’s my fav by far.
Only changes i really hope for are better spawns on first section of it and better weapon balance, especailly when spartans or get the banshee.
It’s been said that Invasion is a part of Halo now, so either Invasion or something like it will return.
Invasion, now, has low population. Some months ago it was better, now it’s kinda boring
I don’t understand why they’ed get rid of it in the first place it is a pretty cool gametype.

All it is was a 3 stage objective smaller BTB game type
So just add THAT game type to BTB and increase that population
6v6 on BTB maps is pointless
When you could just add it to BTB 8v8

Just how I feel about it
I believe Spartan Ops has the same kind of idea in mind, so perhaps maybe they meant that.
They wanted objectives that had meaning, and would work well for both mixing firefight and invasion gamestyles together.
HOWEVER I’m still hoping for a war games gametype like invasion :S

I would be very disappointed if there was no Invasion. I think there could be some tweaks to make it much exciting though (and some of these might already be possible in custom games, I haven’t looked much at it).
I think it would be really cool if instead of getting more vehicles as the match went on, you got less. I’m not sure how this could be accomplished, apparantly setting things to despawn after a certain phase doesn’t work well, but maybe if there was something in the menu for, say, a Warthog that allowed you to control how many times that particular object would respawn. Then you could set up a gametype where (for example) Spartans are attacking. They have three Warthogs, each will respawn once, one tanks (1 respawn), two Falcons (no respawn) and an unlimitedly respawning Mongoose. The Elites (or however it will work in Halo 4) have two Revenants (one respawn each), one Wraith (1 respawn), and, say 4 Ghosts with 1 respawn each. Each vehicle would spawn in a protected area so teams couldn’t steal the other’s vehicles, and maybe this area could heal used (but not destroyed) vehicles. This would require a shield door that only let X team in (which IMO is a fantastic idea).
That way, it would be more like a real battle where you start with everything you need, but as stuff gets destroyed you need to become more resourceful.
Maybe you could even put a limit to lives, so instead of time limits, attacking team would run out of lives (defending team could have limitless respawns, or not–I’m just brainstorming here and things could be tweaked in customs later). That way, there would be none of these annoying:
“Game Over! Defenders win!”
“But the core was two feet from the capture point and the carrier had full shields!”
“Auntie Dot laughs to herself as the game loads”
Instead, the game would go until attackers capture the core or run out of lives.
Other than that, I can’t really think of anything else besides bringing in Conquest for SWBF and BF
Invasion felt as if it could’ve been expanded beyond what Reach had to offer with it. I’m very curious to see what Halo 4 has to offer in terms of it!
