Invasion disappoinment

Dear 343 Industries/Bungie

I and my two friends are great fans of the Halo series. Besides the universe, the greatest of this game was that you could play up to four local players online.
My first great disappointment was that in the Reach we couldn’t play Big Team Battle, only 2 local players were allowed.
Now it is my second disappointment. After more than half and a year you simply lowered the number of local players in the Invasion game mode making the last, not childish gametype unavaible for us. Sorry, but I won’t play living dead or small battle without vehicles and just jumping and shooting senseless at the age of 25.
If there won’t be four local players online BTB and Invasion in the Halo 4 i won’t buy that one (however I planned to buy Collector’s Edition)
And last but not least: Were you allowed to do this legally anyway??? You played a trick on your customer. I did not ask for changing it and you did it…
This is not what I payed for…
I am looking forward to your respected answer, dear 343 Industries.

Yours faithfully:
Krisztián

The new maps in invasion I think could not erally support 4 player taht well…That and some maps can’t just support 4 players because of their layout, amount of things present, etc, which lead to that being decreased in BTB
The only thing I suggest to you is to take turns playing thegame with whoever you’re playing with;Switch the controllers around after a certain time,so instead of x1 x2 x3 x4 said person I guess you play with, it coul be x1 x2, then x3 x4.

There was a Max Local Player 4 Slayer playlist (Squad Slayer), but that was removed. It needs to make a comeback.

Objective might even be reduced to only 2 players because the base maps are too small to many players and the limit is hard to forge with.

Unfortunately SWAT and Snipers may also be reduced to two since people are asking for more maps.

Living Dead might go down since people want maps for it, and to forge a good infection map with a theme and all, you need lots of pieces.

After that there’s only Rumble Pit, Multi Team, and DLC playlists, so if you want vehicles…

  1. Buy either both Noble AND Defiant for Squad DLC (Be warned it has a low population and is a little empty on BTB maps but is fun in Invasion Breakpoint).

  2. Buy just the Anniversary Map Pack to get access to 3 more playlists including Anniversary BTB, Anniversary Classic, and Anniversary FFA, which has a low population.

They can legally do it because the box says
a)1-4 players local
b)2-4 player co-op
c)2-16 players online
d)2-4 players co-op online

As long as those are fulfilled (which they are) they may make any changes to matchmaking they wish. Matchmaking, let alone playlists, are not specified so the feature just has to be provided, even if its just custom games.

Honestly I think they should have a system that detects the amount of local players on an xbox and picks the maps which can be supported. It would work much how the DLC requirements work were if you don’t have DLC you obviously can’t play those maps as they never appear but you can still enter the playlist.

A local player filter would work pretty much the same way so if you have 3 or more local players ForgeWorld maps don’t appear in the map selection menu but you’re still able to play the playlist and select maps which do support 2LP.

However that would require a patch most likely to implement but it’s a solution.
