Since Elites aren’t going to be in H4, Invasion is a no-go.
Why couldn’t it just be spartans vs spartans? Call it something else if you have to. The game mode was for BOSSES and such a fresh mode from slayer/btb.

Who is to say we won’t have a gametype similar to Invasion but SvS?

Since the multiplayer is all training for the Spartan IVs on the Infinity, Invasion seems highly probable to me. It seems like a Perfect training exercise. =)
Keep the concept, change “Invasion” to something like “War Games”. That way it’d still make sense with Spartans vs. Spartans.
Yeah! This is what i’m talking about! The only other thing in question is the maps, I know we sort of need a map that is sectioned off for different progressions… Halo4 needs to come out like NOW.
I would really like for invasion to return, modifyed to keep it fresh and new, but I would still like the core concept to return. I just can’t ever get enough of it.

Elites could well be in social matchmaking and custom games.

Where is the fun in that? That would just feel like regular Objective or BTB stuff. The best part about Invasion was Elites.
And without Elites in MM, I am sad to say that Invasion will probably be no more.
I agree, I enjoyed the elites… but i’m not going to complain if they are out. I really hope there is an “elite” weapon layout or something of the sorts. Something about the Reach Invasion just felt so complete.

Only a dumb gaming company takes away things the fans loved. But I’m not here to mention things that 343 has taken away…
I would love a return of Invasion. One of my favorite game types. There may not be Elites but their might be a new type of enemy that are like what the Elites are in Halo canon. The protectors of the prophets.
