Internet Explorer seems to hate Waypoint

I’ve been having problems with the browser. Every time I try to go on the forums, my browser shows formatting failures and closes and re-opens the website. The browser seems to have trouble with Halo Waypoint since it eventually quits re-opening the website. It would like the whole forum topic is up very close to the screen, and it would have weird symbols next to the search bar.

Is there a reason that the IE browser is not working on here? Thankfully, Google Chrome works on here.

IE9 seems to display the site fine for me! I’m not too knowledgeable on browser engines, so I can’t offer much of an explanation as to what would be happening to cause it.

If IE is giving you problems, try another browser. I personally use Google Chrome (though it’s been giving me problems lately), and Firefox is another good one.

Internet Explorer is the most broken web browser out there (excluding the ones no one’s ever heard of), but I’m not aware of any specific issues between IE and Waypoint. Still, if you’re having issues, it can’t help to try Firefox or Chrome.

I’ve been using Google Chrome for this website. The IE browser was working fine with Waypoint before, but now, it’s having so much trouble. It’s the first time this has happened.

Lately I have been having problems too  Im using Safari though.

Internet Explorer has had a problem quite sometime with Forums in general. The browser its self, and i had a quote but for some reason i cant find it, interenet explorer was not meant for forums, but thats silly. Soul, just move to other web browsers, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and/or Opera (if you are running a Mac or Linux OS).

I use my iPhone don’t get on the pc that much.

Chrome works good

Use something like Google Chrome or Firefox, they work better for this site.

That’s funny. Google Chrome causes me nothing but hassle using Waypoint. Also, it takes up too much system memory and constantly crashes. I have a feeling Chrome is slowing down my entire system… But I need some of these features, which other browsers do not provide.

Google account integration is the only thing keeping me from switching.

i had the same problem it would load then a screen pops up says its having problems so i went to tools on my internet explorer and took off compatibility view and now it loads prefect nothing is wrong now

Oh, yeah, I completely forgot about this.

OP, if Compatibility View is enabled, you need to disable it for Waypoint.

I typically use Firefox and occasionally chrome too. They both work nicely. I know from experience that IE is not the best.

I switched from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome due to the problems I was having with Halo Waypoint.

Does anyone know why Chrome won’t display page 2 or 3 under Universe/events? Page 1 of the videos load just fine, but when I click on page 2 or 3 non of the videos show up. They show up on Firefox just fine though

Works for me. I’m on Google Chrome version 22.0.1229.94 m, which Chrome says is up to date.

Try disabling any add-ons or extensions you may have running, and see if that fixes the problem. From what little I know about Chrome’s architecture, it seems like Chrome add-ons are more error-prone than Firefox ones.
