I’ve come back from holiday to this update and now I notice that I’m constantly with American players? Now half of my matches I end up getting destroyed and I can only assume it’s because of the ping delay I now have? Great now I’ll go negative again…
yes if you are from EU you can now look forward to playing most of your games on US servers, even in EU primetime. My best US server pings 180 from Denmark, Netherlands 40 but i never feel like i get on that one. Rarely hear EU accent in chat, and every game is crap:
- no hit registration - teleporting players - you get killed crazy fast - 343 aint doing nothing about it - giant advantage for US players, my guess is a EU platinum 1 equals US diamond 1 (if not more)had a faint hope they would have adressed it at yesterdays firefight livestream, but no. We can look forward to playing firefight on US servers too i guess.
And ofc if you are from EU and dont own the game DO NOT BUY!
I saw all the Australians moan about having no games so that’s why they removed it, but at least try to put people close? I was playing at around 6, surely that’s peak time? Any time after 3 has school kids and time after 5 has working adults… Not to mention the problem being doubled because of rank resets and onyx players partying up with golds to make my life hell.

I get on at 2 AM and the game is unplayable. Less US players online means less US servers being used. Everyone is asleep.
You guys wanted no region lock, and you got it… but the fact of the matter, is that more EU players need to buy the game, simple as that. Without region lock, the server that has the highest population at the time is obviously the one that will find you matches the fastest.
You could’ve just asked 343 to make it an option, but instead we got enough EU players saying it needed to be removed that it was just that, removed.
We need those selectable data centres josh Holmes promised us after the beta

you are way off here, its not what WE asked for. Wheres the 200 page thread asking for it gone. thats right it does not exist, so quit making up stuff. There was a few people asking for it gone because they could not find games, and many of them still cant.
Im sure none of what is happening on this forum was a part of the decision, it has to do with easier maintenance, global ranking or some other irrelevant stuff. And since you are not affected by it, why are you even commenting other than to get a little attention?
Instead of plowing req money into a championship very few people give a -Yoink- about, 343i COULD invest it in worldwide regional servers so people would actually play, and people will actually want to buy Halo 6. This would of course increase req sales, but no. 343’s business logic is similar to their game balance logic.

but I don’t really notice too much difference. Of course I get the odd teleporter etc… but that’s no different to any online matchmade game Ive ever played.
regarding your plat1 diamond1 comment/comparison I’ll have to disagree, I get Ranked at roughly the same level and get my -Yoink- kicked wether region locked or not lol

This is also my experience.
ok thats weird got placed a lot lower. im new to the controller world so my “skill” increases quickly and i know i was getting better. ofc this could just be a coincidence of placement dynamics and my performance.

Nope. I’m fairly certain the reason was because enough streamers and EU players were having trouble getting matches. You just decided to take that personally for some reason…? in which case, why would you do that other than to gain attention yourself?
Obviously I’m affected by it. Did you even watch the video? I find it funny how you say I’m not affected by it, then imply US players are also part of why it’s gone. That would mean we’re both affected by it, wouldn’t it?

They had region locks in place for people to play with players around their region, but it was recently scrapped cuz other players wanted quick matches rather than spending 5+ minutes to find one. So in short, better quality matches were scrapped to find matches faster, but at the cost of lag.

I would rather leave it loading while I cooked dinner, rather than raging pver shooing at holograms!
Meeting head on in a spartan charge with an enemy, only to be gunned down midway through, where it finished for them about 2 seconds earlier!
Throwing a forwarding grenade and chasing it up with two head shots - to be then lose a gun battle with them.
It’s a total joke now!
