Interesting time frame for in game and Real life (link for "Proof")

I find it kinda interesting how we have waited 5 years for this game and how the game takes place 5 years after halo 3. Its like we know how cortana and chief feel just sitting there waiting for the past 5 years since we have too been waiting for the same exact amount of time. Kinda adds that feeling of connection to the game when we do play it since we are kinda supposed to be chief. It may also gives us a good idea how cortana really feels since we kinda felt the same way in a lot less drastic way.

And where has it been said that it would take place in 2558? As far as I know, the only information we have is the vague “some time after Halo 3”.

Yes, good connection. But I have only supposedly heard that is is five years, have 343 actually confirmed it? If so, link please :smiley:

Well the le ending I believe is in 2552, so 5 would be 2557. Also halo legends origins is in 2556. I heard it was for 5 years anyway…

You might be correct. I tend to forget that the memorial ceremony happens some time after the actual ending of the game. Then again, the game may not happen exactly 365 days after the end of Halo 3 and as Halo 3 ended in mid December, Halo 4 might take place either in 2557 or 2558.
