I found this interesting under the known issues for Theater mode:
" * When Halo Infinite officially launches on December 8th, saved films created before then will no longer be viewable."
The only reason I could think of why this would be the case, is if the game build itself was going to change, and drastically enough that the the theater mode couldn’t load the beta versions of past game plays.
I doubt it, if a new build exists for the December “launch” then the issue was probably only recently found before the game was released & it wasn’t addressed.
That doesn’t make a lot of sense. Why would they have an issue directly tied to launch date that has been there since beta launched, especially since there is a second issue listed:
“* The LAN feature is disabled during the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta. It will be available upon the full launch of the game on December 8th.”
The beta build feels like they made slight changes to the flight build to get it out the door quickly as they knew months in advance they needed a beta for the 20th anniversary. The flight builds themselves also were mentioned to be behind the internal launch build as well. So it would make perfect sense that they had a beta build as well as a launch build in the wings.
We don’t know the extent to this claim, you can make the argument that this isn’t even a beta when the release window is so close, if we were due a launch day patch that significantly altered the build we’d probably know about it by now.
