This has probably been discovered before, but I just found it about 5 minutes ago while screwing around and thought I’d share. It does nothing beneficial, but it’s kind of cool, in my opinion. And I’m wondering if someone else could try to replicate it.
Basically what you do is start up the first chapter of the final episode of SpOps. (Artifact - Harvester) At one point, you have to blow up a few Forerunner AA guns. Grab a plasma pistol and hit one of the guns with an overcharged shot. It should go inactive for a few seconds. While it’s unable to move, run to the back of it, crouch, and walk slightly under it. You should still be towards the back end, but unable to stand up fully from your crouch.
When the gun comes back to life, you’ll get the most horrendous lag I’ve ever seen. It lasts for a minute or two - try not to fall off a cliff or anything once it’s going. When the lag ends, look around and you’ll see that the AA gun has been destroyed, and is now HUGE. It glitches through the floor, rocks, and walls, but can be melee’d/kicked around. It despawns after a little while, as it normally would.
Pointless, but neat. Reminds me of the giant body glitch in Halo 2.
Edit: Tried it a couple of times. On Heroic, I pulled it off twice. On Easy, I either died or got launched back. So… try a higher difficulty if you want to replicate it, I suppose?
Edit (again): Lots of trial and error, but I think I’ve figured it out. Make sure the gun is pointing about as far up as it can go - when the EMP wears off, the bottom of the back of the gun should touch the ground. EMP it, crawl under, and when the gun comes back to life and tries to point up - boom. Did it three times on Heroic now.
