Hello people,

This is my first post on the board here and like many of you who have seen the new trailer for halo 5 guardians, I too at first thought that the Chief was being label a traitor. Then the more I thought about it, the trailer does not say that. you see a bullet flying toward a mark 6 helmet and it break in to bits. the funny think is that it is not the master chief’s helmet. I notice the helmet does not have the fractures that all the other trailers have. Now having been a fan of the series(novels) I’ve always known that for the series to continue. The character of the master chief would have to be removed. Now everyone thinks or is let to believe that the chief has gone rogue but the charge is AWOL. The funny thing is that he is not he is missing in action as is noted in his mission files of his mission. All the trailer really show is that the myth of the master chief will be destroyed. What do you all think?

I think it is supposed to be symbolic, I don’t think it has any implication that he will die although I think he will at some point in the upcoming games.
As for him being labelled a traitor, the bullet shows many words, all of which are descriptive for what different people have described him has.

What we need to remember is that this Benjamin in the #HUNTtheTruth audio logs is a war journalist, he will have been described as all of these things, the bullet represents the things he is being accused or portrayed as, as an attack at him.

I don’t think the bullet is intended to be taken on such a literal sense.
