Who would want to see a game where you play as a marine or possibly an ODST in a human universe before the covenant? battling it out across the galaxy as any regular soldier; perhaps to the point where first contact is made with the covenant (looking at you Sargent Johnson)?? give me your thoughts and opinions 
Halo is not Halo without the Covenant. Might as well be Advanced Warfare. Cool idea for a book, but it wouldn’t work as a game.

That’s fair enough, I would argue the same in regards to the UNSC. However I would love to play a game in the same period as Contact Harvest

I’d personally love that.
Halo isn’t all about the Covenant and the Foreunners IMO. It’s got a very interesting pre-Covenant War lore.

Imagine playing as an ODST doing stealth missions and raids in they way that were designed to do so.
It probably won’t happen, but playing stealthily as an ODST in a night mission in some futuristic but somehow still poverty filled outer rim city trying to prevent a bombing?
Hell yeah. I see the aesthetic. And I imagine the game would work awesome too. But once again, not iconic; it won’t happen (but it totally should).
