so whats the point of the instant game restart on series x? if i don’t play for a while and restart the game i can’t play due to errors or server issue etc so i have to go to Home, quit the game, and restart it. if i have to do that every time whats the point of the instant game restart or am i missing something?
I’ve been seeing these posts a lot but it didn’t happen to me last night. I’ll go fire up my Series X and check this out for myself.
Could you maybe describe how this is happening? Are you leaving it idle or using quick resume?
i mean pretty much i go to bed, wake up, turn on my tv, turn on my xbox, start Halo, get the instant restart message, try to start a game, get errors, go to home screen, quit game, restart game, start playing. Pretty much the process any time the xbox goes idle or open another game/app for an extended period. had the same issues with Halo 5 but i assumed that was because it was a game that wasn’t made for Series X so i assumed it wouldn’t happen with Infinite. Never have that issue either with other Series X games, Madden, MLB etc
Alright, I’ll go try that out and share what happens.
Update: My client is fully operational and crash-free on a normal use attempt.
I woke up the Xbox from standby mode, loaded Halo Infinite (no error messages received), loaded a bot match and completed it without issue.
I swear I remember this was supposed to be a thing on one of previous Xbox consoles. I have never had this work on the Xbox One, the One X and after a week so far, it hasn’t worked on the Series X either.
