Installing Halo Wars2 onto PC with xbox 1 purchase

So basically I wanna know how I install Halo Wars 2 on my PC if I bought a physical Xbox 1 copy. The play anywhere thing is pretty cool so I want it on my PC. What do I do? It’s not in my library so I cannot add it that way

You have to have a digital copy to use any play anywhere game. Sorry, you cannot play on PC. Link

yeah sorry mate, the Xbox play anwhere program only works for digita versions of the game, i nearly messed this up when ordering my copy, you have to either get the pc edition of the game (which comes as a download code) or by the game through the windows store, then it should automatically appear on both your xbox and pc as a title that you have purchased, it would be nice if it could work with physical copies, however, becuase of licensing issues, it wouldnt be possible. On a side note, they were probably planning on being able to do xbox play anywhere with physical copies back during the intial E3 confernce where they announced the xbox one, but since everyone hated their drm stuff with buying a selling games, that was probably thrown out the window

Oh…Nowhere in the advertising is that mentioned. I bet I can win a easy class action lawsuit for false advertising

It’s listed on the Xbox Website:

> Are xbox play anywhere games digital only or also disc games?<mark>Xbox Play Anywhere only applies to digital games</mark>. Xbox Play Anywhere games can be purchased in the Xbox Store, the Windows Store, or via a digital code at participating retailers.
