So I got my code. I redeemed it, it was the 25 whatever code. So I installed halo wars 2, but I cant play it, obviously. But I cant seem to install Halo Wars 1. This is all on PC by the way. I Searched Halo wars in the store It says I own the add-on but how do i install it. I tried the halo app and the xbox app. Can someone please tell me what I need to do.
Did you go on my library and go to Halo wars, you should see the download symbol icon thingy on the right side.
Or you can go on the Halo wars page and you should see install or manage.

Im not entirely sure what you mean by “my library” or “halo wars page”
All I can say is that in the windows store there is is an “i” in a circle thingy and says “you own this product” on the halo wars definitive edition page in the store.
How did you install the definitive edition. I somehow installed Halo Wars 2. But how do I install or play halo wars definitive edition.

I think that means its the xbox one version.
I am in the same boat, I don’t see why they would have to send us a separate code if it already says that we own it.

Make sure you meet the system requirements at the bottom of the store page for Halo Wars definitive edition. If you don’t meet them there should be a cross next to what you don’t meet. Could be anything from hardware limitations to windows update. If you meet all the requirements make sure you update your GPU drivers just in case because some windows games will not launch if you have out of date drivers and it’s possible that restriction could extend to installing too.

In the windows store for the halo wars definitive edition page (make sure it’s the game page not add on page), if it says you own it, it should have an “install” option if not scroll down the page and make sure you meet the requirements for the game. As I mentioned above it could be something so minor as a windows or driver update.
Same here. On the Windows Store, the game page shows “You own this” with an “I” in a circle, but no install option. The game isn’t listed in my library under “can install on this device” or the list of items that can’t be installed. My machine is one year old and Halo Wars 2 is able to install successfully.

I’ve looked in the Halo app, but the only button it offers is to BUY the product, and clicking that takes me back to a Store page that says I already own it.
I heard about one guy with this problem who called tech support and was given a new code, which then could not be redeemed because he already owned the product.
This is just nuts guys.
