I have seen the other threads in Forums and I have tried solutions but none worked.
Right now, it stopped at exactly 20 GB (43%) and only goes up .1% GB before stopping the installation.
I did wipe down my disk which had a few fingerprints on the surface. I am using a Seagate External HD and it worked like a charm with other games prior to downloading. I did cancel the installation and it still stopped at 20 GB.
I did try alternating between online and offline, cleared local storage, and power cycled the console and still no improvement. I am not sure if that means if I need to get a new disk or not but I’m trying almost anything to see if I get any result before I get a new one. In the meantime, I really need to take a break before I chuck the controller out of the window. ._.;
Sounds like you’ve already checked this page Error Installing Xbox One Game, but in case you haven’t, here it is. Sounds like this is more of Xbox Problem so might want to try that instead maybe? Hope you find a fix to this problem asap!

Possibly. I’m going to check on the other game disks to see if it results are the same because this Xbox had been previously treated with a dirty laser before.
Yesterday, it did jump over the 20 GB threshold only to stop once again at 63%. If I do need to get a new disk, thankfully, it’s not too expensive and out of range here. If it is the disk, I could get it resurfaced easily and if that doesn’t work, I’ll order a new one.
But yeah xD I really want to play so I can get back on Machinimas and matchmaking. I’ll update the results later as I look into it more.
Well I guess that was some progress eh haha! Good luck and welcome back!
Alright, the results aren’t as good but with a possible conclusion.
Laser was cleaned with a disk cleaner… and I can’t get the game resurfaced due to the possibility of it screwing the disk up more (says the sales associate but I wasn’t going to argue.)
Still hasn’t changed from the 19.99 GB - 20.00 GB threshold so I may think it’s a faulty disk.
The game(s) (I used AC Unity to install) check out as able to download with no issue whatsoever so the disk tray and laser works. It only stops with the Halo 5 disc. Of course, when downloading to be exact.
It goes 20.00 GB.
Stops.
Queue.
Stops.
19.99 GB before Installation stops.
I may just download the game from the Store later if there’s no significant improvement
So, here’s the conclusion.
After buying a few things (such as a scratch-repair formula since it had a faded scratch on it)
It was proved fruitless and that the disc is pretty much faulty with plausible evidence.
I moved the disk to my modern Xbox One to my Xbox One S (which I got fairly recent) and it showed the same results as my Xbox One.
I’m going to download the digital edition of Halo 5 to limit the chances of that happening again. Thanks for all the help nonetheless and I’ll see you guys on the battlefield~
I got the digital version, good luck Spartan!

Glad to see you finally somewhat got it solved even though you bought it digitally:)
Final update… and surprisingly it had been resolved. Would’ve updated this sooner but I’ve been busy. Anyway, ended up the disc had a faded scratch on the surface. After using abrasive toothpaste to buff it out, it actually starting download again with no fuss.
I can finally continue with Machinimas, gameplay, and other content. Thanks everyone nonetheless.
I’m having this issue and nothing’s worked. More detailed on my post of anyone would read it and help me out if you can.
So I should just buy the digital copy

Best not to revive old topics - you can start your own if you need help. Personally though I’d say go digital, it’s much easier. Your only obstacle is your download speed / monthly cap (if you have one)
