I was hoping to get some help on this. I’ve spoken to several Microsoft Customer Representatives, and gone through the regular troubleshooting but my MCC refuses to install. I have the digital copy of the game and in fact the installation always freezes at exactly 14%. This is in spite of uninstalling and reinstalling (to both external and internal both of which have at least 100GB free), doing MAC address resets and deleting persistent storage, resets and hard resets and trying a different network. My network is extremely fast (used to install 60GB games like this one in less than an hour), and still is, even on the Xbox when using Youtube or the Store, or even installing games (until they freeze). Its definitely not a network issue.
Also, and this may be completely unrelated, but the issue began when I tried installing the most recent MCC update. I installed the ODST dlc and the update at the same time (maybe 5 days ago), and the dlc completed the first and then the update would refuse to complete. I then tried to uninstall everything and reinstall, but the game wouln’t install (or even go past 14%). I’ve used so much bandwith at this point after trying to install and getting to 14% at least a dozen times in the last few days, and I’m really at my wits end. I have to leave the country on Friday, and really want to take my Xbox with me for the Summer, so I’d really rather not have to send it in for repairs. Restoring to factory default is something I’m disinclined to doing for a few reasons, so I’d really appreciate any advice. Even knowing the significance of what happens at 14% would help.
To add, since this issue, I have been unable to install other game updates as well. The disc installation happens fine and completes without an issue, but when I try to install an update online, the update will freeze at 99%. I strongly think this has to do with the MCC corrupted data, since that’s where everything began (the last update that worked fine was the Witcher 3 update that I installed on the same day as the MCC update/dlc, and then everything stopped working after the MCC update failure).Thanks so much
