Installation 04C?

If the Ark can repair itself and has enough resources left over, will it construct a third Alpha Halo?

I don’t see why not. As long as it has resources and is operational it should be able to do so.

I don’t see why not. As long as there are raw materials and manufacturing techniques it still has access to.

You literally posted a fraction of a second before me.

Were you going somewhere with this, or was it just a simple question?

This post got me thinking: Can the ark produce another monitor as well? Did it know that 343 Guilty spark was still alive after Halo: CE? Assuming it didn’t, was it producing another monitor during halo 3? Would this monitor have been another 343 Guilty Spark? (Perhaps 343 Guilty Spark-B?) Would this hypothetical monitor still be chakas, or a new AI? I’m overthinking this, aren’t I?

It depends on whether the Ark has the capability of creating monitors or not. As to whether it would be chakas - that would depend on whether the Ark has a copy of 343GS mind (and on top of that, when that copy was made could have an interesting effect on the way 343GS interacts).

Yes.

WHY HAVEN’T WE ASKED CATALOG ANY OF THIS?!?!? T_T
But in all seriousnessess, this seems like a really interesting line of questioning.

Lads, let us look at the thread’s creation date…

OT:

I’m sure that once the Ark has repaired itself, another replacement for Installation 04 will be forged.

Well, since this thread has been dragged from the grave…

Watch Halo Legends: Origins Part 2. You’ll see what is, in my personal opinion, the Chief returning to the lesser Ark, meeting the Gravemind again, being given the chip from the E3 2013 trailer, and then being teleported to Installation 04C. We also see either 343GS or Mendicant Bias. The Halo then fires, and the view explodes into galaxies and stellar matter that resolves… Into the outline of the Ur-Didact.
I think we were given a sneak preview of H5G way back with Halo Legends.

A little subjective to artistic interpretation, but I find myself agreeing with you. The outline does have an uncanny resemblance to the Ur-Didact.

Watch the QTE in Halo 4 right at the end, the instant before the grenade on the Didact’s chest goes off. That pose the Didact is holding is where he looks most like that silhouette.

That’s what I thought it was, that or the Ur-Didact using force choke with the restraint fields. I believe you though of the pulse grenade part.

Or you know, this very real cloud of interstellar gas…

Oh… :frowning:
There goes my theory. Thanks for pointing that out.

Still, it’s remarkable how much that nebula resembles the Ur-Didact’s silhouette. Also, the way it appears in front of the Chief’s cryotube seems almost symbolic in some way.
I’m reading into this too much, but wild speculation is half of the fun.

Pshhh, the Ur-Didact probably went out of his way to make that gas.

In the trailer for Halo Wars 2, there’s a split second where the spirit of fire appears to be facing a Halo Ring. The time is 1:17 (badumtss)

Wouldn’t that be dandy?

What’s really dandy is not reviving old threads.
