By now most everyone knows that a Halo and a strange planet in seen in Halo 4’s main menu. The strange planet appeared again in the recent vidoc. Master Chief and Cortana seem to be on a UNSC outpost that is built into one of the asteroids/debris that is surrounding the planet, most likely the biggest one.
I believe that this is Installation 03, or Eta Halo, and the UNSC outpost is Ivanoff. Why do I believe this? Well, the UNSC has obviously been here for quite some time, as the outpost is built into the side of this large piece of debris. Also, the surface of the Halo seems to be full of deserts, just like Eta Halo appears to be in the Citadel in Halo 3. It could also be Installation 07/Omega Halo, as Omega Halo appears to have a desert-like surface as well, but with less clouds. ONI also has an outpost on Gamma Halo.
> Yea its not requiem for sure but what planet is it. this game has so many confusing paths
One of my theories is that it’s the Forerunner capitol, and the Halo is leftovers from Mendicant’s attack. It’s possible that the UNSC found it and set up an outpost there.
> I edited the OP to mention the other Halos and the possibility that it is them instead.
So many locations in the space of 8 missions? personally i don’t think we’ll leave requiem but that doesn’t explain the ring and the new planet in the main menu.

Well, considering in the second link in the OP we see Chief on a space station orbiting the planet in the main menu I think it’s safe to say that we leave Requeim. The 8 missions are all pretty long according to Frankie, they’d have to be in order for it to be a “Halo sized campaign”. In Halo 3 we visited Earth, The Lesser Ark, and Installation 04b, I see no reason for us to not be able to leave Requiem. Besides, that would only be 3 locations at most.
I’m also kind of hesitant to believe that we’ll be leaving Requiem. I feel like a big part of the plot, primarily the introduction of the Infinity, was a way to explain (and support) there being a bunch of humans on a distant planet without having to go back to Earth or some other settlement. It was a convenient plot device, and one that seemed like it was being established for the rest of the trilogy (or at least a significant portion of it). That being said, if they have done it purely for Halo 4, then I could maybe see us going to that mysterious planet in the last level perhaps…though it seems very odd that they would include such a spoiler in the menu screen.

It’s not a space station look at the window in the back

Sorry to break it to you, but we are indeed leaving Requiem, unless the second image in the OP is fabricated by 343i to throw us off. Which is extremely unlikely.
Also, there is a shot in the vidoc showing Infinity and a bunch of Halcyons above a planet that is not Requeim, most likely Earth. I suspect this to be part of the opening cinematic.

Don’t be sorry, i am happy we’ll be exploring more than 1 location, thanks for the info, and yeah, i guess it’s kelekos!
Kekelos found us… perhaps (If it is indeed the Librarian there) she was alerted when we first accessed Requiem, and wanted to contain it as fast as possible.
But it is possible that it is a Halo ring too. ONI learned of the Covenant’s intents and planned to stop it here and now, not hesitating to use one of the most powerful weapons on the galaxy.
But I wonder whats with all the rubble. I assumed it was leftover from perhaps blowing out a part of Requiem to escape… but it doesn’t look much like Requiem. It should be more metal, right?
One of my theories is that Chief and Cortana get off of Requiem somehow and go to that place near the halo ring for some reason, but the UNSC Infinity doesn’t which would explain why the Spartan-Ops missions take place on Requiem.

Kelekos doesn’t even exist, quote from the book, deva path is wrong
“Don’t you see it? Requiem. That’s where the Didact was hidden. That’s where they say he waits.”
“He tried to fight the flood. He tried to destroy the humans.”
“Didact sleeps and must never be woken.”

How does that prove that Kelekos doesn’t exist? All it says is the the Didact is on Requiem.

Because kelekos isn’t mentioned once, deva path changed Requiem to kelekos, them exact quotes.

I have a feeling that this place is touched upon in Silentium. There’s a UNSC/ONI station built into a large piece of the debris, so it looks as though the debris has been there for a while.

If you actually go to the Amazon page and read the book, or what you can of it, you will see that not only does Kelekos exist, but it is mentioned a number of times.
