Install the game or not?

I know that you shouldn’t install Halo 3 because the game caches a lot of data on the HDD, so installing it can actually increase loading times instead of decreasing them. But what about ODST?

I’d prefer to install ODST to decrease the optical drive’s workload (CD/DVD drives are always the first thing to break on my consoles), but not if it then puts additional strain on the HDD by copying data that’s already on it to a cache that’s also on the HDD.

Yeah, I think it supports that.

Not sure how it works though, sorry.

Halo 3: ODST will run faster when installed to the hard drive but the Halo 3 Mythic disc will not.

Most games that came out after they added the install to HDD option will support it

That’s exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks to you and everyone else.
