insta resign

Please just don’t play…

thanks.

What was the point of this?

> What was the point of this?

If you are going to insta resign… Please don’t play. I have so many random losses because team members insta resign.

If you don’t want to play the game - don’t play in the list… Resigning will teach you nothing and ruins the game for the rest of your team.

I know what you’re saying but what’s the point? I doubt any of them know that there is even a forum for this game and if you have convinced anyone, it’s probably like 1 person that visits this site like once a month.

Resign to rushes to prove the rushers a point, maybe?

I never resign, but rushing is just as bad as instant resignation, in my opinion.

Either you play the game properly, or you don’t play the game at all.

Ok, I want to get a little insight on this. Why do you people with an average of 25 TS that don’t “rush” (you mean harassing)think it is bad? I have never fully understood your people’s logic.

Boy, those people sure prove us rushers wrong, lol. If you (“you” in the general sense, not specific to anyone) quit, you relieve me of a game that wouldn’t have taken any concentration to win and allowed me to move on to a game that’s hopefully going to be good and competitive.

People who quit against rushers: Try defending the rush and winning the mid-game (the mid-game part is important because anyone can build 200 flamers in 4mins). If rushing is something that’s no longer the most efficient thing to do, good players would stop doing it.

I to do not understand the instant quits. It happens all the time to me especially in 2v2 party teams. In 2v2 party teams it seems like it’s 50% of the games we get matched. I just do not get it. Actually in 3v3 it seems I almost always lose a team mate right when the game starts.

-Yoink- quitters.

People that resign instantly just need to quit playing. It ruins the fun for everyone, but it has been happening since before Halo Wars. As for rushing, that is a legit strategy in most rts games.

A lot of times insta resigners have experienced connection difficulties and lag out in the map loading screen but the base explodes and it says they resigned when the game starts. I had a problem recently where my disc was broke and it failed to load the map. Not wanting to let my team mates down like that again i bought a new copy of the disk from gamestop. As to the rushing discussion on here, quitting wont teach rushers a lesson because all rushers care about is winning and improving TS like it matters so they just dont get it really. Theyll think that you quit because they are amazing at the game and will continue on when the truth is the person that quit wants to actually have fun with the game which i find is always mid to late game there is no point ending a match before it really begins. Personally i never quit, ever, not even when they are destroying my final base. Not that I have to mind you, Im a general, never rush, but can easily enough fend off a rush. Even crappy players are more fun to play against mid to late game because you are destroying their army with a superior army and tactics because unlike them you are good at the game.

I can’t even remember the last time I resigned. If I know I am about to lose and I just want to end it quicker, I will just selfdestruct my bases.

I can guarantee you that 15 min. high level games (which includes “rushing”) are way more fun/intens/exciting than the best game you played. In which you probably didnt do anything the first 20 min. but researching random stuff.

They way you play is : you and your opponent dont attack eachother until you have everything researched . So whoever has the best/fastest “everything researched” build wins. (dont see any tactics here)

They way good people play: prevent eachother from having a perfect build and delay an opponents build so you have the lead mid/late game. Questions like: how am I gonna delay his build without wasting too much money myself? What units are cost effective early game ? Which person should I “rush”? etc etc, all have to do with tactics/strategy. Im just pointing out the very very basics but you should get the point

Everyone plays their own way. I don’t see a problem playing any type of way.

me neither , but he is implying that tactics only come in mid/late game and rushing is a way to end the game before its started which makes no sense at all.

> I had a problem recently where my disc was broke and it failed to load the map. Not wanting to let my team mates down like that again i bought a new copy of the disk from gamestop.

You could of saved you’re team a loss and yourself 30$ by downloading the game to you’re hard drive. Even once the game was damaged it would of still of been able to download. Alot of people make the mistake of not downloading games. Not only does it prevent being disconnected but also saves electricity, prevents the “sound shut-off”, and prolongs the life of you’re xbox. It does kinda suck that you still need the disc after its been downloaded, but its only to check the copyright then the disk stops spinning. My MW2 was cracked in 2 places (nearly in half) and it would still read the copyright and play fine.

Rephrase your question.
Are you asking me why rushing is bad? I just find it rather annoying, but I do try my best to defend the rush.

If you want a good and competitive game, then why rush? Am I missing the point?

I resigned once because my vampires battled hawks for 2 hours in a deadlock. I then decided it wasn’t fun and was going nowhere. I left for the sake of both of our lives.

same. unless I planned to super turtle, I’ll quit out of a 40+ minute stalemate.
