I thought it would be so cool if you could inspect your weapon like you can in call of duty or Apex Legends. Now that there will be a ton of weapon skins (hopefully) with the vision of making Halo Infinite a long term service it would be a pretty cool detail you can trigger in the beginning of a match or anytime you want during it. I know in previous Halo’s you can essentially inspect it already if you stood idle for a brief period but would be kinda nice to be able to do that from just the press of a button.
What do you think? I wouldn’t care if it wasn’t in the game on release. Not a huge concern to me whether it was in or out but just thought it would be a nice little detail to admire your earned weapon skins.
I’d like it to be a feature as well. I may be wrong, I haven’t played it in a while, but I think they added it to H5 in one of the last updates for it. If I’m remembering correctly and it is in H5, hopefully that means there are some animation devs that will possibly add weapon inspection.

There isn’t a weapon inspect in Halo 5, you’ll do animation with your gun if you’re AFK for a while but that’s it.
I think a inspect option could be cool for Infinite, let’s us appreciate the weapon coatings a bit more. Really show off the work that the dev team has put into them.

No point, we can inspect weapons in the armoury when we customise them.

Conversation is a beautiful thing. That’s kind of the point of Forums, no?

It’s like you completely miss the whole point of forums and why they exist. Interesting huh?
What button would you have it be on? In Halo 5 they were ~struggling~ to fit every action onto the controller as it was.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea. But we’ve got limited controller space to work with and it would probably be best to just stick with idle animations.

It could be holding down on the D-pad. Tapping it would probably be the pinging function that was confirmed not too long ago.
