Halo Infinite beta is going to be longer than MCC PC since Infinite is a new upcoming game. It will be tested both on Xbox and PC. Here are my predictions of flight programs:
Flight 1 - Slayer and how matchmaking is:
I’m not expecting much to happen on this 1st flight but I think it’s probably going to be just a normal slayer game mode and what people think of the gameplay and to see if the matchmaking is working well. Hope split screen is in the beta, I know it’s going to be in Infinite.
Also so what they think about the menu and pre game lobbies. I’d love to see a bit of customisation but not show all of it since this is a beta.
Flight 2 - Firefight:
I miss old Firefight where you play local co-op with your buddies and there was firefight matchmaking where you can play 4 player online co-op. Like MCC is doing flight 2 which is firefight.
Flight 3 - Fun game modes:
Infection, oddball, King of the hill, grifball and all other modes. Hope they are good since I was dissapointed with Halo 4 Infection.
Flight 4 - Forge and custom game browser:
Custom game browser was buggy on Halo 5 but whenever it works it’s a dream come true. Forge was impressive but we need to have it at launch.
That’s I can think. I think it will start in beginning of 2020 and it’s going to be quite a long flight just in case a flight goes buggy, then 343 would have to fix it then try the flight again as we don’t want a broken launch again. It’s also going to be longer as Xbox and PC are going to run differently.
Both platforms will need to run smoothly and good, so I think for each flight they’ll test on Xbox then PC since it’s harder to make halo on PC.
What are your predictions for each flight and when do you think it’ll start?
Is Halo Infinite going to have flights as well? I thought that was just for the PC port of the MCC to make sure that is running correctly.
As for Forge, it has been admitted that Forge and Theater would not be available on the MCC launch (again). Flights are more pre-launch tests than post launch so Forge and Theater would end up being post patch content (not even Day1 DLC).
I don’t think it will have that many Flights, because it’s a new game and they won’t want too much of the different aspects of the game to be scrutinizedone too in depth, and too early on.
I think there will be 2-3 starting this Holiday season, and all dealing with only multiplayer.

Forge and theater not releasing on pc at day 1 is sad news and a bit of disappointment but it’s going to tale a very long time for then to make that on pc since Halo 3 and 4 were on pc.
I hope Infinite releases that on day 1. Halo 5 had a terrible start at day 1 and thus better nit happen the sane to Infinite.
If there going to test anything then I suspect it’ll be multiplayer only first later this year since they’ll probably want to keep the rest of the game secret so they can show more off at E3 next year.
If I had a predict an announcement then I guess we could hear more at PAX or Gamescom since it would seem more likely that Halo Infinite will need some testing a year in advance before next years release or there wouldn’t be point to having a last minute flight program since it wouldn’t make sense to leave it so late.
They will have significant flighting and testing. They want to make sure they’re firing on all cylinders at launch. However, that doesn’t mean everyone will get to play or test it. It’s going to be for a very select few, especially at first to the point where no one even knows it’s going on. The average Joe won’t be flighting nor most likely even know much about it, however, select people and some professional players will have access to flighting and testing extensively. They’ll be legally binded by an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) that will prevent them from talking about the game in any way, shape, or form. Otherwise everyone with a YouTube account would make in depth videos scrutinizing things they don’t like about Halo Infinite even before it’s released.
Flighting will start first with Xbox and then PC will follow. In fact, in house multiplayer testing is already being done and has been happening for awhile now. January 2020 is when the first round of flighting will start for people outside of the company (i.e. certain professional players, and certain high profile people in/around the game/business of Halo and Microsoft).
I would imagine when we get to around March of next year (2020), we’ll start to hear certain rumors are true and can be collaborated with the real game. May even get some visuals of multiplayer game play around that time as well. End of summer 2020, information and rumors will be spreading like wild fire (some true and some not so true). Around September/October/Novemeber 2020, those of us who are on these forums and follow Halo closely, will know just about everything about the game before the game is even launched Holiday 2020. Not everything, but 80% or more.
I’d guess Infinite Halo Insider flighting starts the week of E3 2020. Something like Microsoft conference happens on the Sunday like normal and then they say "Flighting starts tomorrow* at the end of the Infinite segment. Before then I think the only flights present will be MCC.
