I will say I am a little nervous about what is going to be announced today, regarding how it will impact these forums, both past posts and future ones.
From 12/19/2019’s Halo Community Update “Happy Halodays”

There are many threads I have followed for one reason or another. I even have my first Waypoint post from 7/14/2011 saved. (Coming up on 10 years on this site!)
I am hoping we do not lose these posts, or if we are going to I’d appreciate some direction on how best to archive them. HBO have a great archive of the old Halo Bulletins that were posted before the Community Update took over. A similar archive for Community Updates would be great.
I am not sure how best to archive individual forum threads however.

I’d love some news about Spartan Companies. Even if it’s just confirmation that they still exist haha.

Edit: Well wait a minute, I guess I’m confused. Reading more about Discourse it seems to be more about forum hosting rather than a new website, and even Gearbox uses them to host their forums at gearboxsoftware.com.
So maybe Halo Waypoint’s forums will continue to go on in some fashion? Although I think my archiving concerns are very real now, but perhaps we will still come here for new conversations? I need clarification.
Wow, there’s a ton to pack in this Inside, they are still being very discrete though on some things such as the other customization feature they aren’t showing off yet. They didn’t touch on armor cores as I hoped but there were a couple of things in the article to look at that seemed like armor will be tied to the core as we thought, unfortunately. Here is a sentence that made me think that.

I’m also afraid of one picture showing off the customization in the top left where it says consumables. Oh man, I hope they don’t pull a Destiny with coatings as Bungie did with shaders…

Where they talked like our multiplayer character might fit a narrative somewhere? Maybe like a new mode with story or something…

I usually try my best not to complain, but this edition of Inside Infinite was sub-standard. On what planet did that article actually give any details about customization (besides that you can customize from the app) or what to expect at launch??
Put a disclaimer on that title because it’s misleading as can be.
