Inside Infinite August a bit light?

I was hoping for something interesting in terms of reveals or more details on the next flight, but we really didn’t get much. I did skim read though. Did I miss any info?

i think this is the important part in regards of last few days disappointment.

In many ways, shutting down a game is like being on final approach to landing an airplane. And if you’ll forgive a bit of aviation-geekery, the entirety of the team is essentially in a “sterile cockpit,” which is to say: we’re at a critical phase in the flight that is Halo Infinite, so it’s extremely important to avoid distractions and stay focused on mission-critical tasks only. For Campaign, that means putting maximum effort into ensuring the wide-open, adventure-filled experience you’ll all get to play on December 8th is a great as it can possibly be. And gameplay demos and trailers not only take a huge amount of effort to do well, they also take cycles away from bugs and other shutdown tasks.

Considering how they just kinda dropped the last flight on us with just a couple days warning, I would not be surprised at all for them to do it again. If the BTB flight doesn’t happen by the end of September though, I will be genuinely shocked.

Flights are not guaranteed each month or at all really. They do them with very specific objectives in mind. I am sure once they finish what they are working on and need to work out bugs, they will push a flight. I think right now they are still working on tidying up the Campaign. I think MP is probably in an almost shippable state at this point.

Well the update isn’t light just because there’s no info on the next flight. They focussed alot on things they learned and did with the flight results and why. Staten also explained why there was no campaign footage.

Found it to be a good read and cleared some things up for me so I suggest reading the entire thing instead of skimming with a single objective.

Not neccesarily a single objective, but I guess different things resonate with different people. Bots for example don’t interest me in the slightest.

Hope we get another flight soon.

I personally think they’re long past due in dropping a new #AskInfinite. It’s been months.

I was also pretty disappointed. I couldn’t believe that they actually included the details of some 343 guy’s run in with a bat. They are clearly scraping the bottom of the bucket for content, which is pretty concerning considering how little we’ve seen of the campaign.

Yeah that was weird. I feel Microsoft is keeping 343 muzzled until launch, or a week before. Like with Forge, it’s obvious low-end PC’s and original Xbox One’s that held it back until it’s stable enough to run on old hardware. Not accounting for Slipspace Engine limitations.

If 343 wants players hyped for the game, it’s already there. Most players are waiting to simply play a new Halo title and nothing more. Some only care about that top rank on day 1, or unlock everything writhin two weeks then complain there isn’t more to unlock. Just slow down, have fun, and enjoy yourself.
