It seems quite obvious that voicing your opinion, and pointing out the facts is not welcome. And not considered constructive. You have to love being silenced… … So I’ll rephrase it.
This insatiable greed from Xbox needs that is what is not welcome. Xbox and 343i knew we wanted the Halo 3, Reach style customization back. And what do they do? Monetize it, and they will undoubtedly persuade us customers into buying the colors we want, behind a huge grind to entice us to stay grinding and keep their “Daily Active Users” up. Since that’s all Xbox’s rage nowadays. Daily Active Users.
Here are the indesputable facts, Xbox fully backs predatory Micro-transactions in their 1st party games. Halo 5, Halo Wars 2, Gears 4, Forza 5, 6 and 7 all had Lootboxes. Then they changed to overly expensive skins, and kill animations in Gears 5, only after the loot box outcry. And now this in Halo Infinite.
You can attempt to say they haven’t built Multi-Player around these kinds of in game mechanics. But they already proved they have and will, there is a mode built around REQ Packs (Lootboxes) in Halo 5 Guardians War Zone. And don’t say they need to do this, they didn’t need to from 2001 to 2010.
Microsoft gets free billions of dollars from Xbox Live. Free to Play does not mean they need to monetize armor customization in this manner! And it is sickening, because neither Nintendo nor PlayStation do this kind of greedy garbage, and they are not supported by a TRILLION dollar company. Although, Nintendo do has done some shady stuff recently. But Xbox is doing it too much! Xbox is right there with EA, Take-Two, and Activision.
