What the gametype is?
Evacuation is a new mode objective-based game type which will bring new innovation and fun to the world of Halo. It would be using new and old techniques from firefights Player Vs Player… and Round Based Play Style… Dominion’s Building and Base Operations… Invasion’s Objectives and Humans Vs Covenant Species… As well as minor additions from other gametypes like Capture The Flag, King Of The Hill, Assault, VIP… and of-course Campaign and Spartan Ops. These new features will be able to capture that canon-based multiplayer battlefield feel that 343 Industries was after…
What the game type will offer players?
New Gametypes are always difficult to start off… they either are successful or failure… this gametype would allow players to take control of different sized species… each with a respective amount of traits, that are balanced accordingly, and have loadouts and limitations. Players are able to play as either United Nations Space Command (Humans) - Marines, ODST, Spartans… or the Covenant Empire - Sangheili (Elites), Jiralhanae (Brutes), Kig-Yar (Jackals), T’vaoan (Skirmishers), Unggoy (Grunts), Mgalekgolo (Hunters) Huragok (Engineers)… each unit has a certain amount of abilities, traits and skills both advantageous and disadvantageous for the cause(See next post)… Apart from different gameplay styles and skills… players will also be given choices in-game… objectives to go after both for the offensive and defensive teams… each team would also have a array of installments and defenses they can implement on the map for better control and maintenance(see below)… However have such in-game customizable features would relinquish or limit the use of Forging maps…
What will the game type be?
This game type will be purely for social match making and will grant and fun playing field… to all play styles. This gametype will pit two teams of opposite factions against each other… in an objective-based turn/round-based game type. It will have different situations and roles to forfill which would require teamwork to continue… there would be a points or currency to purchase certain items for assistance on the battlefield… the end role is for either:
- the offensive team to breach the base, by shutting down shield conduits/generators; destroy any exterior base defenses; then plant the bomb and capture any intel.
- the defensive team to hold out against invasion (for allotted time), by building defenses and surviving rounds; and then evacuate via pelican.
(Some times a smart-objective will show up… like VIP kill this unit for extra cash)(See below for full objectives list)
The waves would be set up where every player on has 1 life to which they play as a team, strategically using each skill set for that specific unit and try to survive… this way waves would generally be quite short… about 2 mins each… over about 10 - 16 min matches… the rounds in-between would have a building or forge phase to which each unit has a different defensive/offensive installment they can establish… about 1 min… to given about 25 min matches all up.
How did you come up with this new idea?
I was thinking what would everyone want… fun… which means additions to an extent. Everyone loves to picture themselves in different perspectives and say… what if I could play as that species… and not just for the look but also for the playing style… but for a behavioral and emotional experience. And then how would this work in the universe… a canon-based story mode of hold out locations or new missions every week which grants different objectives and locations… giving players reasons to come back.

Yes. However the general idea is for it to appear in-game and give players the experience I and in-directly the forum base imagined.
