If Halo 5 is gonna follow the Halo 2 formula that hardcore fans “love” then new players won’t be thrown into existing games. Which in turn creates quitters immediately if they get killed once since we all know how these loser kids are now “I’m supposed to win at everything!?!? I don’t understand???” That’s gonna make these modes unplayable. Everyone will quit in the first round. Ala Halo 2 Anniversary. Joke.
I’m strange in that I like to have fun and not concerned the least about rank and the God forsaken “achievements”. If I could shut off that achievement pop up I would. Ugh. Nothing is achieved on a couch.
Please inject players into into games like Halo 4. Lot of us don’t care if we are thrown onto a losing team to only make it better the next round. After all, it’s just a “game”. Anyone who takes cred for a video game needs to start looking at their bank account and their future. We just want to have fun. It’s not a badge. And if it were I’d throw it directly in the trash. It’s a friggin game. It’s… ENTERTAINMENT! Do you want an achievement for watching a movie on your couch while your -Yoink!- grows as well?

The thing I hated about Halo 4 was getting thrown into a losing match, so no I don’t want it back. 343 needs to severely punish those who quit.

Yeah! How DARE they have different ideas of what fun is! How dare they actually think winning and playing for rank is fun! How dare they hate getting un-even teams due to lack of proper rank, and how dare they hate having to clean up some incompetent group of players’ mess because they decided to quit!
If they don’t find it fun to derp around the map and get beaten horribly because of mistakes they didn’t even make, they’re tryhards and don’t deserve to have fun (or live, I guess?)!!!1

I never said get rid of ranked you dope. I said not everyone lives and dies by rank basically. What I’m saying is if rank is the end all be all then why have a game in general? 10% play for rank (aka losers) and 90% play to just have a distraction since they have lives and families and do physical activities. And the the rank is defined BY the company. So it’s a fictitious rank. It’s not like the military. But yet… An accomplishment none the less. Amazes me.

I don’t know if your argument holds the weight it might have 10 years ago. People know can make a nice supplementary income on top of their regular job or career. In that case, as long as it pays for itself and some extra then the purpose should then be “is this fun to me?” not “will this benefit society and push me towards enlightenment?”
You said it yourself, Halo is a game, but so is Football, Soccer, Hockey, Tennis, Golf, and even swimming plus the hundreds of other things that people do. You say Halo isn’t to be taken serious as all other games well fine, don’t see it that way, but don’t be thinking that Video Gaming isn’t going to eventually be a competitive sport on the same tier as current popular sports now. It will.

You talk like you are a hardcore Halo fan and then you say things like “Please add in JIP”. Any true classic hardcore Halo fan does not want JIP. Why would a person want to continually be thrown onto losing teams? Literally every time you Join In Progress you will join on a losing team which is dumb. And JIP cannot be used in ranked gamemodes for obbvious reasons,.
JIP is a failure if you are any form of a Halo fan then you shouldn’t want it in halo 5
Competitive gaming can be compared to competitive sports, a lot of people do care if they win or loose.
