I think Spartan Davis is a dead man and his death will be what makes Palmer hate the Covenant so very very much.
Her lesson in subtlety needs to arrive sooner rather than later.

I agree Nihilus in the trailer for SA Davis appears to be surrounded by elites its at the very end so perhaps a N6 like death.
Glad to see people have the same theories i do.
I loved the interview, and it gives me real hope for Palmer’s character. I hope she can become a more liked character in the future.

I can think of a particular moment where this lesson could’ve been driven home.
Why don’t they just name her Commander Shepard?! If it permits I would literally trade my gaming PC and donate all my saved money to an army welfare association if they bring in Edward Buck and his squad and expand their fricking half-written incomplete story-line and make the majority of us actually think of buying an extravagent piece of hardware called the Windows Phone or even the lousy Windows 8!!??
In complete honesty having Buck and his squad deal with things post war would have been far far smarter and better than kilo die.
Ohnonononononononono! no. Nope! Nope.jpg. Nien.
You see that will be a great tactical mistake.
If you might’e noticed, Traviss places her female characters with a great deal of importance even if its not necesarry. Adding to it, she makes her male characters barring the puny Phillips as one dimensional dumb -Yoink- characters (Vaz and Mal) or characters who are quite literally helpless dudes in distress (Arby and Lord Hood).
Now I wouldn’t want Traviss to touch our H3 ODST characters, and I’m sure she won’t play the game or listen to most of their banter and dialogues while playing the game. Small tidbits like that, made them such likable characters even if they were limited to just one game.
I wasn’t saying karen should do it i was saying that would be better than what we have now. Better expand on the characters we have.
I wonder what Parg Vol did i’m playing spartan ops and she seems to really hate Vol in particular. I’m thinking he killed Davis.
I suspect Gek will play some kind of role as well. In one of the bulletins about Spartan Ops, they mention that one day we may discover what happened to his eye, as well as the reason for why he hates Spartans. I thought maybe the third Kilo-Five would explain it, but Spartan Assault is just as likely.

Good point, though it does seem to be something of a waste to be developing these characters after they died.

I think a scientist will accidentally get him killed, thus making Palmer have a vendetta against “eggheads”
I may be going out on a limb here, it do you think Palmer and Davis had a sort of relationship at some point?
I mean, not direct. But maybe they were very close.
Then his whole death would be more impacting to her, and maybe she changed a lot as a soldier.
Just spitballing here.

This and i feel its due to something Palmer does as well.
