Initial Plasma Grenades

I’ve been having beef with the plasma grenade lately.
Why do people start with 2 plasma grenades?

I can’t drive my warthog around anymore because some -Yoink- thinks it’s fun to throw their sticky’s on my ride.
There are already enough ways to kill/stop a vehicle, but give them the option to spawn with the tools necessary? That is just rude.
Lets look at all the ways to take out my warthog.
-Plasma Pistol
-Fuel Rod
-Rocket Launcher
-Any of the sniper rifles(killing the gunner/driver)
-Railgun
-Sticky Detonator
-Spartan Laser
-Plasma Grenades
-Other Vehicles
-And other various less efficient ways of destroying a vehicle

Almost half the weapon list, 2 of which you can spawn with.

So what I propose is only spawning people with 1 plasma grenade, so vehicles are a tad more useable.

Open to discussion here, on any points I missed or opinions you may have.

tl;dr- spawn people with one plasma grenade.

Well how else am I going to destroy annoying ghost or warthogs if I dont have my plasmas. Besides the pulse grenades are crap.

Considering Pulse grenades are only 1, 1 plasma would be a good way to deal with the situation. Of course it can be upped to two with the tac package or more can be picked up if people want to be sticky happy.

Ghost- plasma pistol, then hijack, or use one of the guns listed above.

Warthog- Kill the gunner, or driver with team fire or just by yourself. Plasma pistol is less effective here, but riders are much more exposed and spawning with 1 plasma would still do tons of damage. Or you could use one of the guns listed above.

The point I’m getting at here, is to make killing vehicles less of a mindless task, and make them something a bit more feared rather than an easy single/double/triple kill.

True, I’m tired of vehicles being a triple kill on wheels. They need to be less… fragile. Anyway, I don’t see how one plasma nade would hurt, especially for big-team. They’ve already got the plasma pistol, so limiting it to one grenade would require someone to actually aim their throw, not just spam at a disabled vehicle.

Plasma nade/Pistol spawns are FINE, they are meant to take out Vehicles.

Real problem is that regular guns to so much damage to Vehicles, you can DMR, AR, SNiper Rifle, or bick-dutt any old Warthog that’s been slightly damaged into oblivion.

Warthog seems strong than in reach so can deal with a plasma.
Just dont go driving off too quickly and keep your distance.

on a side note…i always thought it would be a good idea to throw a load of stickies on a team mate and get them to run into a room of enemies as the grenades wont hurt your man/woman.

No offence, as I haven’t seen you drive/gun previously, but maybe you should try to improve your strategy while in a vehicle.

My friend loves to drive, and I love to gun. We never had a problem getting at least kill frenzies, then we added in wheelman and gunner specializations.

I’ve noticed that vehicles, especially Ghosts and Warthogs, are constantly getting destroyed by Plasma grenades only seconds after the driver has gotten into the vehicle.

They need to limit the Plasma grenade to 1, like the Pulse grenade.

I kind of see your point, but my issue is more that the standard Warthog is too weak, and the chain gun seems less powerful and harder to aim effectively than in the previous games. It requires much more steady and slower driving, in order to give the gunner any chance of killing anything. And of course, the slower you go, the more vulnerable you are. Many people hardly bother with the Hog anymore, and instead rush for the Mantis or Ghost. The poor old hog is often abandoned on the battlefield.

YES and on top of that the gunner get shot out befor he can get a kill most of the time. the dmr is to powerful. a br start would balance it out.
