Inheritor seems unreachable at this point.

For personal reasons, i wasnt able to play the beta of halo reach (because my golden membership had expired) and i couldnt afford the game the day it released and i wanted to play it so badly. I had to wait to january of the next year because a friend of mine said he would buy the game and i could borrow it from him.

Anyway, after 3 months i stopped playing it (again for personal reasons) and left as Warrant Officer grade 3, and unfortunately missed bungie day.

Came back when Halo CEA released and ascended to my current rank, Field Marshall (5 stars general). But now that i see many people are inheritors right now with just a year of playing halo reach, makes me wonder how long will it take me to reach it.

I aknowledge that i have to keep on playing if i want to be it, but the ammount of cR per game is very little and the weekly challenges and weekend jackpots wont help, mainly because the chance of hitting it is between 7 to 10 games in a row and the weekly challenges sometimes are very short and dont give a plenty of credits (i recognize that the credit rewards for the weekly challenges have increased since 343 took command, 3000 cR for getting 100 multikills was not worth my time).

I know it seems pretty unreachable for me too. Specially because it takes so many credits to rank up. I didn’t have Gold when I got reach. I was a Warrant Officer Grade 2 (I think) when I got gold. In order to play online I had to get demoted. It demoted me down to darn near a recruit. It was rediculous. Anyways then I quit playing after a while when Gears 3 came out. Now I’m playing again but I don’t think I could possibly get there before Halo 4 comes out.

But don’t worry about it I guess it’s just a rank.

You can hit Inheritor from Recruit in 200 days if you use Custom Challenges and hit the 200k cR cap each day.

It is reachable if you put the effort in and are past a few million cR.

It’s within 100 days genius 200,000 X 100 = 20,000,000

Edit: when the cR limit was 120,000 it would have taken 167 days

Yeah, it is so hard to reach Inheritor nowadays. Specially with the increase of cR given to players who complete Challenges. I remember back in 2010 when Weekly challenges gave you like 5000 cR at most, but now they give out like 32300 cR I believe?

I mean, 50,000 cR for a Custom Challenge that takes me 30 minutes to complete is a lot of time. I miss when I had to play like 3 hours to get that same amount of credits.

Weekend Jackpots won’t help either. Even though we didn’t have them until mid-2011. Yeah, hitting Inheritor is so hard nowadays.

I’m around a fifth of the way through Forerunner. My goal in the next six months is to hit Inheritor. But also to get good grades in my final round of exams and have a nice night at prom.

But Halo is number one for me.

If you don’t have the time, then don’t try to. It’s a useless rank, unlike a 50 or something.

I’ve been completing the dailies/weekly everyday and every week for some time. I’m about 1.7 away from RECLAIMER ranking. I think I can hit Inheritor by the time 4 comes out.

Thank you for the kind correction!

I know the lack of dedication died once the custom challenges were invented. >.>

If you’re desperate to reach Inheritor, boost yourself with Custom Challeneges.
Here is a method I posted here on the forums: Almost 16k cRs in less than 20 seconds

Hitting Inheritor seems a lot easier with custom challenges.

I had to grind for mine without them, and the process was very painful.

FF = Credit Farm

I am about to hit Hero, and i did the math and in about 60 or so days i will get inheritor, for the last week and a half i have hit the credit cap every day. It has been time consuming but i am off of college for the summer, and have nothing else to do but work.

I have found that a mix of dail/weekly (If there easy ) and Cust Chall.

I do the challenges on Camp, and FF depending on how board i am or what i feel like, Most of my MM play is after I hit the cap so that is just for fun.

to help you remember, the cap resets at 1 am local time ( Your time ). so if you can work on tomarrows caps or complete them leaving you free until… you got it 1am the next moring. (R F SAT SUN MON i make note to do this because i work and i won’t get off work until around 1 am, so that way i don’t miss a day i work a day ahead.)
Camp kills and challenges do not regi until after you finish the lvl or save and quit.
Camp use skulls as many as you can it helps keep the numbers of kills low, also don’t just put kills, put kills with weapon or kills of enemy this way you can have multi kills up. don,t put head shots put metals, it takes a few more but metals are easy to get you will be getting 5000 credits quicker then you think. Also save and quit if you think you reached some thing ( I count but you can do what ever ) some times i can go through 2-3 cycles in one lvl, at 20,000-25,0000 a cycle this adds up quick.

FF, the chall’s can go up to 10,000 (camp is only 5,00) but you can only get ( With in reasonable time ) around 3 at a time.
head shots 393=10,000crc and play score att. because it forces you to kill every thing. 2x score is great because you get over shields making it easy to slide through.
speed is the key, you want to fly through your score att. at around 10-12 min a game, you get faster when you learn where the spawns could be. I say could be because the are random, so say one map has 10 spots they only spawn out of 4. Enemy control, don’t let them get in to big groups. pick off the smaller groups before they link up making it easier to control the battle of where and when. If you do this you can dictate the terms of the battle ( Making them go though: narrow halls; long distant kill zone; blind corners; split zones, that is where the ai 9-10 splits the squad in 2-3 directions. Control the map make it yours and you will watch see your speed and rate of death both improve. Bubble, Drop bubble heals you, pick it any time you can so you don’t have to go through the “Died on the way to health.” You can all so use it as bait, for some reason the AI can see or hear them half way across the map, just drop the bubble and back up to a different spot and take them out. DO NOT EXPECT IT TO PROTECT YOU, it wont they will throw plasma, shoot plasma/needles/any thing they have, and it drops quick. Don’t drop it unless you need to heal, then heal and get out. Know where your ammo is, plan it out so your laps or hold up spot is close to where you can get ammo with out a big battle(this goes with controlling the map)it will save you both time and headache. Use there weapons too, plasma their shields and pop their head, the brutes spike gun works wonders on leeties. It was after all made for killing Spartans, and it is just as good at killing leeties, all else fails fill them full of spikes. Use plasma nades and only use frag if you have to, there are a limited supply ( you spawn with 2 and 8 on the map) where the covies drop them like french fries in hot greese.

MM goes up to 30,000 but i dont mess with that because it takes to long i want to be able to turn in every hour better if shorter.

most of all use math, know that if you make 5 camp chall that net you 25,000 but take you 2 hours to do it that means you need to do it around 8 times, thats 16 hours, pass on that one for one that only gets you 20,000 but can be done in 30 min thats 10 but only 5 hours. find a system that works for you and you will see the time requirements drop like -Yoink!- on prom night. I have a 19k system that i can cycle through every 15 min or so, with the other bonuses it takes me around 3 hours to cap out.

good luck and remember,

the only thing imposable is what you think is imposable.
edit missed key depresses my laptop key board sucks

think about it… do you want to play halo for 100 days? That’s the equivalent of getting to inheritor. 100 days of nonstop gameplay…

I don’t think I will make it to Inheritor

I played for a while when it came out, but stopped for a while when Gears came out. Not only that, but BF3 and some others were on my agenda first (since I had already played a decent amount of Reach). Now, I play almost every day and do all of my challenges. I’ve managed to rank up to Hero, but I don’t think I’ll get anywhere near Inheritor before Halo 4 comes out. I don’t really mind though, because ranks in Reach mean nothing.

My problems too, playing BF, Gears and others has limited my Halo time, I’m on the way to Hero now but it’s so slow ranking up, but I’m not that bothered either, if I get it, I get it.

I have unlocked all the current achievements in Halo: Reach. To say the least, I’m happy. If I reach the rank of Inheritor, I’ll be just as happy. In my eyes, it’s just a rank.

> I don’t think I will make it to Inheritor

You will if you have the time, as you’re quite well on with ranking you don’t need the full 200.000 limit every day.

Dude, It’s a rank, just enjoy the game while it lasts because halo 4 is coming.
