Ingame community disgusts me :(

I find myself getting betrayed almost every game I play.

No, this isn’t just accidental betrayals. These are players purposely trying to ruin the game for other people.

What happened? I left for a few months and now everyone online seems like a total jerk. I remember before I left that the community was great and I hardly had been betrayed. If I had been betrayed, it was an accident.

Play with a team.

Problem solved.

Like the guy above me said, play with friends and then this won’t happen

Last game of btb I didn’t drop from before the game started a teammate was talking smack about me for no reason. He wanted me to betray him so he could boot me. I didn’t give him the pleasure and knocked his shields out as the game started and moved on. While he boosted for the entire game and I got the most kills of either side. I could have betrayed him, but doing so would have lowered my bpr and probably resulted in booting. I try not to betray, and if it happens it only does so in grifball if I forget for a moment to look at my radar and a teammate is going after the same guy. Even then I apologise for doing it - every time.

Well, it could be the COD community…

Welcome to Reach.

I agree with the O.P. the community had gotten terrible. Some players dont have a group of friends on at all times. If I get some randon being an idiot I just take his shields down all game and then when he’s killed I -Yoink!- the hell out of him. I dont betray unless its accidental, but like it was said sometimes you get idiots that just try to get killed the whole game just to boot people. Wish 343 would change it to one betray instant boot. Seems like these idiots can keep betraying and never get the boot option.

Go back to Halo 3 , still populated and so much more fun. Bungie > 343i

De-rankers.

“What’s that? You’re a General in Team Slayer and your skill level is 14? Yeah, I believe that”

Then they spend the entire game committing suicide.

This why I always, and I mean ALWAYS, play with a party.

Pretty much. It’s not just limited to Halo either, it’s the entire XBL community.

True, but seriously i recently got back to Halo 3 and i’ve only med 2 guys that did that…

Im atleast happy

If you don’t want to meet them again. simple fix. 3 steps:

  1. Submit player review.
  2. Avoid player.
  3. unsporting conduct.

That’s what I do. You can’t guarantee not to meet people like that again, but you can reduce the odds of meeting that specific person again.

Honestly, people can try and ruin the game for you but its all about a simple tactic. Play with people you know. Yes people are going to be jerks on any game, but really Reach is much better over cod in terms of community (whatever there is left of it) and if you havent seen the cod community well your lucky. But back to point, the jerks of Reach will be there and there are ways to maneuver around such idiocy.

I never really get betrayals. My issue is that people are always quitting out, or my teammates are just going -27. Not to mention nobody ever seems to have a mic anymore.

The game is full of kids and is still increasing with them because their parents are too blind and careless to see the letter ‘M’ on game cases.

I noticed this issue recently…
