(This is gonna be a lot of jumping topics and before I start talking, this is a playtest and I fully understand that, in no means am I thinking this is an accurate representation of the game at launch because that’s ludicrous and this is the exact reason to have a playtest, this is just my feedback and suggestions and or opinions.) Personally I think the good overwhelms the bad here even if it looks like there is more to the bad Below, however in my opinion, the game feels very good, and I can only imagine how good it’d be at 144 frames. I am so lucky to have been able to take part in this test and I am so happy to say that I Loved every second of it. THANK YOU 343!!! <3
THE GOOD: I really really loved the tech preview, the grapping hook just Felt Right and overall I just loved it. the plasma pistol’s new pew pew sound is funny and great at the same time, I love the magnum and plasma pistol combo or even a plasma pistol and the commando or BR is amazing and very good. I was very surprised when they added the new map to the pool and I gotta say, recharge (I think that’s the name) is a lovely map and complements the grappling hook. I loved the new customization, and the armor coatings all looked wonderful and amazing.
THE BAD: I do wanna say a few things, first the skins seemed pretty underwhelming which is fine, I just think the 800-950 credit amount (assuming it’s 10 dollars for 1000) is a lot of money for underwhelming skins and I personally wouldn’t spend that much on a red spray or some white and brown on my assault rifle unless there were more than 3 skins in the bundle. Another thing is that the battle pass can only be scaled by the challenges, which is fine, but I think it’d be nice if they took in account your kills or whether or not you won the match, I felt like in the playtest when my only challenge was play matches it was very hard to scale the pass. And of course I’m sure people know this already as well as 343, but the performance was bearable, I could play and not notice it sometimes because I was having so much fun, but then other times I could notice the frame tearing and performance drops (it stayed around 48-55ish) which is okay, but with a $1600 rig, you should be getting better performance. Another thing, (which I’ve submitted a ticket about) Your key binds and settings reset after every play session which can be a little off putting when trying to find the right sensitivity again that you had previously.
