Haven’t seen much discussion on this yet, but now that we know multiplayer will take place aboard the UNSC Infinity’s state-of-the-art training facility, how could Forge exactly be implemented through this?
We’re used to having a specific area to Forge in with the piece palette we are given, but now we’re aboard a ship which has virtually unlimited capabilities in terms of augmented reality so these may be some of the things we could be seeing in Forge
changeable skybox
vast forge piece palette
possible terrain-creator
weapon drop placements
etc.
Forge hasn’t exactly been confirmed yet for Halo 4, but the popularity of it would have us believing it will be back, but I would like to know what all of your thoughts are on all of the vast possibilities that Forge could have.
I like to imagine it as being like The Matrix in the way that programmes such as cities were able to be built within it. We may not be able to build something on the scale of a city, but it will definitely be big.

Haven’t thought of that yet. I’ve got bets on Overkill for the first Last Resort remake
I might sound pesimistic, but I don’t think a full fetched terran editor will be in Halo 4. It would be too much of a mess to control with the controller, plus they would need ALOT of bugfixing since the map could easily be abused by someone because of all the possible collision surfaces and walls that would be added for every map.

Something Ive heard discussed that I like is a $10 PC add on outside of forge. It would expand forge beyond what the 360 is possible of doing. It would essentially be forge+. Double the pieces, terrain editor, expanded budgets for CERTAIN items(aka terrain, structures) and custom settings editors for maps. It would explode the variety of maps and double the possibilities for customs and minigame types.
I would buy it. In a heartbeat.
But considering that they said that “they have maxed out the 360s capabilities”, Im excited to see it
