infinity slayer return?

I think bringing infinity slayer back into it’s own separate playlist as a rotational playlist would be fun.
I
It would be added like they did with big team heavies, but would never replace the regular slayer game type.

Yes the game type adds a little randomness to a match and the hard core players prefer team slayer.
But halo has always added fun game types and it’s not limited to just making game types ,only approved by hard core player.
for examples: team heavies, infection, race, fiesta.

i think it’s a ok game type for casual competitive players, it’s fun because it rewards good players with a ordnance, and often changes the gameplay up. repeating the same game play in each map over and over can be a little boring after a while, it would be nice to mix things up a bit.

A lot of people liked team heavies, but it created crazy and more random game play. Infinity slayer would kind of bring this more chaotic, and different But fun game play.

It’s just the simple twist of rewarding a good player. In my opinion it would kinda be a 4v4 team heavies. remember It wouldn’t replace slayer it would be on a rotational playlist. So it doesn’t split the slayer population.

Now, I’m not sure what your idea of ‘casual’ is, but Infinity Slayer isn’t exactly fair enough to be casual. Good and Bad players need to be treated the same for something to be casual.

Halos 1-3 had competitive Slayer 24/7 and there were no real casual Slayer gametypes to speak of because every player started out the same. The only ‘Slayer’ gametype in Halo that can be considered casual at all, is Reach’s Slayer.

There were Armor Abilities to choose from, but everybody had access to the same ones. There were no unlockable Loadouts or perks, and there weren’t any killstreak bonuses during the match. Every player, good or bad, was still treated the same.

A competitive mode however, doesn’t even allow that. Players start out the same whether they like it or not.

Action sack is for casuals and competitive a alike. It’s some of the most fun you’ll have in halo.

No

Infinity should replace Legendary Slayer in Halo 4 playlist.

Legendary should be moved to Team Slayer playlist.

Absolutely not. Infinity slayer was one of the worst things to happen to Halo.

Just like power weapons good and bad players have a equal chance of grabbing them, but it’s likely the better player’s will be the ones killing the bad players and getting the power weapons. Everyone or anyone could get an ordnance drop but it’s likely going to be a good player. It’s available to everyone.

The other thing is ordnance are not kill streaks. Kill streaks promote camping. Ordnance are point streaks, a much better idea.
They don’t promote camping, they can be stolen, or taken from you when you die. A good player would kill a noob and take his ordnance. Just like any other map pick up.

I don’t care about the difference between casual and competitive. Every one competes in every gametype. In my opinion we are all competitive players.

I guess my idea of a more casual game would be candy land, it’s more random and people play it because it’s so damn fun, but people still play to win. And competitive would be chess everything is equal, and if you’re the better player you win.and kids would play candy land for fun and chess to complete.
<div>
I don’t care which category infinity lands in, it’s fun and competitive.
In my opinion it’s more casual then regular slayer , because it adds more candy land randomness, but the win still goes to the better players and the bad player still have the same opportunities.</div><div></div>

I Think Infinity Gametypes can work when done right. Team slayer arena has its place but i think Infinity slayer can be used in certain aspects.

It was bad because it’s different, and because it should have never replaced the classic style of team slayer. But it was still fun, and reminded me of a small team heavies. I still played and won or was the top player most of the time, so it wasn’t that random. Good players still won against bad player’s.
We even have a few popular slayer game types with random weapons. fiesta and meta raid. Yet instead will reward a good player, and encourage bad players to improve.

so i don’t see why not, unless you just don’t want anything similar to cod. <div>What mad it the worst that nobody would like to play it at all?</div>

If it’s fun and is not added to the main slayer playlist, and comes and goes during special times like team heavies, than why not?

I don’t think that Infinity Slayer is gonna be in the core multiplayer modes for Halo 5. But, it’s a high possibility that 343 might add it into an Action Sack playlist after Halo 5 officially launches.

Let people decide. Right now nobody chooses Halo 4 playlist to play Legendary. This place belongs to Infinity as it was much more popular amongst Halo 4 players.

As for Halo 5, I think that BTB should be based on Infinity settings.

If they took ordinace drops out…ok

If not, I’d prefer it not to be.

please be trolling…

I wish the just kept the original Halo terms for each playlist; (slayer,flood,ect.).
