It has been proven time and time again. An abundance of power weapons destroys gameplay. In the older halo games, there was typically one or two power weapons per map. Most of the time you knew where those weapons were and who had them. Now on halo 4 everyone has a power weapon at least 3 times a game. This makes the game absolutely random. There is no argument to say otherwise. I understand ordinance drops having speed boost and overshield. But, dropping an incineration cannon is just borderline ridiculous. In addition to this, there are weapons that I would consider “campaign only”. These include the boltshot, incineration cannon, and the saw. Slayer pro was way better than infinity slayer. It needed some changes but it was much more competitive. Power weapons are meant to prevent stagnant gameplay not be mainframe weapons
I’m hoping they’ll add a permanent classic playlist so I can finally play Halo the way it was meant to be played
Nah, not for me, I’ve been playing a ton of IS matches recently and there really haven’t been that many, 1 or 2 games? sure, but really it isn’t that bad. Oh, and NEVER vote for abandon if you’re doing IS that place is almost guaranteed to have a whole slew of power weapons and it just gets annoying.
aka I just got trashed last game so I’m gonna complain on the forums. Its people like you who clog these forums with their incessant whining about issues that you exaggerate to the point of it being comical. I’ve seen an Incineration Cannon maybe twice on maps it doesn’t spawn on (which means it was ordnance), its hardly the problem you’re making it out to be. Couple that with the fact that power weapons despawn like 8 sec after they’re dropped and the power weapon spam you’re claiming it far from true.
I have to disagree for the most part. True there are some games where the other team seems to have an endless supply of rockets and incineration cannons, its not terribly frequent. And heck even when that happens, you have to simply change up your gameplay as best as possible.

I only will adapt when it is for good reason. I don’t adapt to accommodate flawed gameplay

Flawed is subjective.

A victory in Infinity BTB where both teams are equal is heavily influenced by which team had the best drops. This is undeniably flawed.
In all of the matches that I’ve played, I’m lucky to get a shotgun or overshield in my ordnance drop while the enemy team has a constant stream of snipers, binary rifles, rockets, SAW, incineration cannon, sticky detonator, etc. Also, I just recently found out that one spec. has a mod that allows you to “re-roll” the ordnance to possibly get something better. What a crock of -Yoink-. That’s one reason why I think H4’s MM is horrible, and the challenge thing is -Yoink-.
I feel like I’m playing Team Fiesta.
> I feel like I’m playing Team Fiesta.
Don’t say we can’t complain. We don’t even have a gametype to go to
Agreed ordinance needs to be taken out, and only a few power weapons should be on the map…Not only that make other weapons on the map so ammo is not as scarce. Not only that random map ordinance is a complete joke…inc cannon spawn on Solace is so random, it will always pop up near ones team feet. This is total luck and I have had a lot of games change momentum because of this crap. A weapon should spawn in one place on a timer, its not hard to learn the times.
I haven’t played much of team slayer myself - note that I refuse to call in ‘infinity slayer’, it’s 4 on 4 so it’s team slayer. I stopped playing it when last time on adrift the entire other team, all 4 of them were running around each with their own SAW. It was a massacre, that was one of my worst games to date. Personal ordnance is completely inferior to the old weapon spawning where weapons always spawned in the same place. The last time I played big team battle half the people on both teams had sniper/beam/binary rifles making going out into the open suicide. And yet Ragnarok gets voted for every time. The one and only ordnance drop I got that game consisted of these options: damage boost, plasma grenades, and a sticky detonator. Yes on a huge map those options really come in handy. /Sarcasm
I’d much prefer gunning with my starting weapons than have a game full of power weapons, it would encourage teamwork instead of hoarding for individual gain.

So winning is not a good reason? The only thing flawed there is your logic.
Honestly guys, this argument is stupid. People claim to be good players, yet complain about having to adapt. Adapting is a way of life, deal with it. If you’re as good as you claim to be, then adapting would not be an issue. Get your own ordnance drops and make them work for you like everyone else. Quit -Yoinking!- like a prepubescent school girl.[/rant]

Your logic is borderline idiotic. Adapting isn’t an issue at all. I could camp and horde power weapons. But, that isn’t good gameplay and it isn’t fun. I prefer competitive gameplay not social power weapon randomness. 343 should adapt and give people like you socials because you are happy with everything. 343 could poop on your doorstep and you would probably praise it.
Wowpeople really do blow things out of proportion.
no
I remember my first day on halo 4…
Anyways you’re correct OP, and I didn’t really read your full post irregardless. Just coming in to say, this has been said maybe 108231208301238213 times.
The horse is dead. Stop beating it. Give team regicide a shot. All the goodies of IS without the power weps, and requires more teamwork to keep your king alive.

In all honesty, it is like a horse that won’t die and I’m trying to beat it to death
