I have been playing Slayer for a while now and up until Junes update and a few lag issues, it has been fun to play. Since June my K/D has gone down dramatically due to what I thought was lag. Let me explain the few issues.
Firstly, in games now my gun reticle sometimes just disappears when aiming quickly on an opponent, and I cant even fire a shot for a second or 2.
Second, when I watch videos captured of games and wonder how lower SR players are getting the drop on me all the time, I notice that they are way off shot but seems to still have the bullet magnetism and Aim help that the rest of us don’t have anymore.
So I took this a step farther and used my brothers profile which he is at SR 41 and I cleaned up on games, everyone no coincidence. It felt like the original slayer settings and I had good aim control. My reticle never disappeared and the game was enjoyable again.
So why do the lower SR players still have the bullet magnetism and Aim Control?
When playing on my profile, if I am not on dead center now the shots don’t even register anymore. This is very frustrating for me, can someone explain whats going on? Its seems that there is some adaptive logic based upon your SR level and other various criteria that seems to alter the game and handycaps if you will.??? What ever it is, I wish you would fix it soon please.

This is completely false.
You should fix your connection.

Theater isn’t reliable when it comes to viewing other people’s perspectives.
You don’t get an advantage or disadvantage depending on how low or high your SR is.
As far as connection goes, I think I am good. Got a 100mbps 15ms ping Comcast Connection dedicated for the Xbox and Centurylink 40mbps 25ms ping for my computers. I have tried both connections just to see if there was a difference, and both acted the same.
Other than that, if guys tell me the SR has nothing to do with it, then I am at a complete loss. I guess I will just have to get better at aiming.
The guns Reticle shouldnt dissapear and prevent you from shooting correct?

That happens when you sprint. are you accidentally tapping sprint? I did that for a little bit when I first switched to bumper jumper

BS thats not possible and even though halo is player to player that good of an internet speed you wouldnt get lag. I dont get lag with 11 Megabytes per second.
Are you sure its mega bytes and not mega bits.

Speed measurements from your ISP and online speed tests will always be in megabits per second. Everything else is usually in megabytes per second.
Your 11 megabytes per second would equal 88 megabits. Since that is nearly 100 megabits per second, you probably have about the same bandwidth he has.
Unless you meant 11 megabits per second?

i meant mega bytes. If he’ got similar bandwidth to himI don’t understand whats causing it simce I encounter little to no lag and his problems seem to only occur to others through lag so Ill just go with lag
I have some possibly bad news for you, sir…
You are describing a problem that I 100% had, with the reticle disappearing sometimes and late-shot-registering.
It wouldn’t happen every game, but it would happen quite often, and I noticed it happening more and more. Then I had someone else over and played on a new controller that I hardly ever used, and since then, the problem has resolved itself. I never see those two problems.
I think that it’s the sensitivity of used controllers messing with us due to two things:
- The reticle disappears when we sprint, so that button has become overused and partially engages
- The trigger takes longer to register a button press and sometimes, on automatic rifles, starts and stops, instead of being a constant squeeze.
Let me know if you think this might be the issue, because it fixed mine.
ALSO! You might feel like you are cleaning up on your brother’s lower profile because you were playing people who are worse than those with whom you are accustom to playing.
I have 100 megabytes per second, at least that’s what speedtest.net tells me my service is at. Its the Extreme 100 down and 20 up service from xfinity comcast.
In regards to the remote being an issue, that very well may be the case.I don’t believe I am hitting sprint, but I may be and not know it. I just purchased the halo 4 xbox and 2 new remotes around the same time that this issue came about.They are very touchy because there new. I never even thought that it could be that honestly, I will try another remote to see if that may be the case.
