Its not garbage we just need a non-ordnance gametype in addition to it. It would be a fun gametype if it wasnt the only form of team slayer thrust upon us.
Are we playing the same game? Because Team Slayer is my favorite gametype. Ordonance may be random, but skills are not. Maps are also very fine (except for Complex, which is too big for 4v4 and which has frame rate issues on splitscreen). Some people are camping too much, but after some time you can easily predict where they are, and use it as your advantage. Only thing which pisses me off, when playing on those maps, are people with Active Camo and overcharged Boltshot. Those things need some fixing.
However you all “I miss my Halo” guys seems not to remember campers in Halo 3/Reach. When was the last time you’ve actally play those games?
They should put regular team slayer counting kills only in ranked and infinity garbage in social counting score instead of kills!
Just cut last zero from those “social counting score” and those are kills. This really isn’t a big deal.
If the way they handled ordinance didn’t wind up as a power weapon mosh pit then it’d be decent.
It is utter Garbage, but I have to resort to this. Every other playlist I am fine, I have a k/d of 3.2 or so and I face 1 k/d kids and I get pooped on in Garbaginity Slayer. Why, is this gametype so stupid?
Went on halo 3 this evening. Got 5 wins in a row.
Go on halo 4. lose 3 games in a row. two due to my team being full of either AFKers or idiots who rush in and get themselves killed.
The other loss was due to joining a game which was 30 - 140
Im sticking with halo 3 until this is sorted out and halo 4 implements a ranked playlist.
I would love a competitive playlist. I wish there was one. I cant wait for Slayer Pro and MLG playlists.
Winning a game of Infinity Slayer feels like winning a Mario Party minigame instead of a competitive match of that now non-existent rewarding Halo multiplayer we used to have.

Social slayer in previous games was by far more competitive and rewarding. Instant respawns are a terrible inclusion as well, they remove the sense of a real penalty for death and reward constant rushing. Combine that with the lack of a ranking system and personal ordinance and you get awful randoms on your team constantly rushing then dying to camping enemies with power weapons. It just isn’t fun, and the overwhelming amount of randomness is pathetic for such an acclaimed franchise, as well as extremely disappointing from a game developer’s standpoint.
Finally, others seem to be experiencing the same. I am consistent in almost every other game type but Garbage Swat and this excuse for slayer.
Just like one of you mentioned it is pretty much based on random Ordnance and unbalanced teams.
Jetpack destroys almost every map because of the colossal shield recharge DELAY. Oh you got a double kill, here let me spawn those guys 20 meters away so they can easily pick you off. Let me also make it so that their prefered AA is Jetpack.
IMO, AC, Jetpack, should go, and DMR should be nerfed to an extent.
This is the only playlist where I can barely hold a k/d of 1-2 because it is utter BS, luck, randomness, and once again BS.
