Infinity Slayer Is...

By far the worst gametype in the game. Either that or back in Halo 3 I was not old enough to get frustrated and to know what is BS.

Here are a few simple reasons.

-Most maps are unbalanced and embody a poor layout which favors Designated Everything Rifle spam cross map.

-Spawns are GARBAGE

-Instant Respawns (Can’t get a couple kills without being rushed at by 3 or more players.

-Ordnance ruins all map control. (Herp Derp Im going to camp with camo and DMR and get an Incineration Cannon or Rockets).

(Just because this is the superior tactic, I started doing this on several BTB maps because playing in any other way is useless in this DMR Fest of a game.)

-Not really related to Slayer but Shield Recharge Delay is too long.

Edit : Basically, Infinity Slayer impairs decent players and completely shuts down the ability to have a decent k/d when running lone wolf.

FYI, no I do not have a 0.5k/d. It’s about 3.2, and keeping it is extremely hard for some reason. So much unbalance.

they just need to come out with social slayer already. i mean every other gametype is just way to fast paced and everyone trys to hard. in social you can relax and have so fun but on any other one you have no chance

Exactly what it is. It seems as if it is impossible to join a game and have fun. You just end up raging and everyone tries too hard.

It is fun when you end up just kill looting less than competent players going for the objective, but this game still dumbs down many aspects and allows for the worst of players to get easy kills.

One thing that could improve map control is to remove power weapons from Personal Drops, but keep them for loadout weapons and grenades, perhaps boosts as well.

Then for global drops, put icons on the spawns long before the weapon is dropped, it would show what weapon will spawn, and show it to everyone on the map, not just those who happen to be in range. Teams would have to fight for power weapons, and they would know where and what will spawn as well as when. It’d also keep the randomness about the global drops but eliminate the “luck” factor.

However, I disagree with the point with the weapon icons. It should be like previous games where you learn where the weapons are.

Personally I think Infinity Slayer is fine as a laid back/casual playlist. There just needs to be a playlist with competitive settings for competitive players.

Infinity Slayer is not even fun to play in this game…all people do is camp, use PV, bum rush you with three people etc…it takes the least amount of skill in my opinion in the game because its just slaying…CTF, oddball, Team reg all take way more skill.

Infinity Slayer is ok to me but I like to play BTB Slayer much more. I do agree with you though that the spawns are not good. Like I spawn right behind or in front of the enemy. I don’t like this at all! Instant respawns are ok but i usually play gametypes like CTF or Dominion that do not have instant respawns. However, I would say that SWAT in Halo 4 is TERRIBLE

I’m pretty sure that 343i will add more playlists that will appeal to us. Hopefully.

Infinity Challenge Slayer is even worse because of the people you face. FFS. Every game I played today everyone red bared at least 5 times.

this is what i did all the time

Swat is also garbage. Near impossible to go anything above a 1.5k/d in the playlist.

Everything is garbage except for Oddball, KOTH, and sometimes BTB. Dominion is alright when it is not laggy at 15fps.

Everything else is complete trash made worse by JIP.

I miss halo 3 at least I actually have fun on that game. In reach was a so/so but still fun. I just which that give us more gametype that don’t have none of those issues. As well to me it feel more and more of Cod like. As well to me some armor ability like pro vision and camo should be a powerups like for example halo 3. I miss the old days of halo.

I hate 4v4 slayer too. It is incredibly slow, and AA’s loadouts and ordinance are the worst in this playlist

I’m not going to say its the best playlist in the world, but its perfectly fine given the circumstances. I personally like it because I don’t have to worry about large open maps a lot of times. I get to relax, coordinate, and utilize various teammates strengths and weaknesses to my advantage… and disadvantage at times.
