Infinity Slayer is Entirely Luck-Based

The fact that someone can get an incineration cannon in an ordnance drop when someone else gets a needler is not an acceptable setting for any playlist. Games are absolutely being decided by the random draw of personal ordnance weapons, and it’s disgusting.

I’d like to hear some arguments as to why such a huge discrepancy between ordnance selection is in any way beneficial to the game. This is substantially WORSE than any streak system that has ever appeared in any activision games that I will not mention.

I don’t want to hear “play slayer pro” because that does not address the question. Random personal ordnance is ruinous to the integrity of the game.

So let me get this straight you want to have the ability to pick the strongest weapons every time…?

The problem is it’s entirely power weapon based

Don’t get me wrong i love the ordnance drops  small TY’s for carrying a team. but i always get the bad options XD…

I don’t mind Ordnance drops. If I don’t get my 1st or 2nd preference, then choose the OS/SB/DB (Over Sheild, Speed Booster, Damage Boost). Because they’re always helpful.

You have three options in an ordinance drop, not just one.

More control needs to be available. You should get better options with every drop. It shouldn’t be random. I had a game last night that game me the sniper as an option twice!!!

You need to be able to plan for certain things. The enemy having a sniper is one of them.

As for random ordnance, no -Yoinking!- rockets, incineration cannon, or fuel rods!!! Makes the game feel like Mario Kart.

I dont see why you guys care about ordinances, I already spawn with 2 power weapons, DMR and Boltshot

Heh, sorry, but when an average nut like myself can dominate a match where the enemy has shotguns, swords, SAWs and the like, with nothing but an AR and some grenades, I think ‘luck’ doesn’t come into it. Not on the drop side of things, at any rate.

Ordinances are better than kids who’ve memorized spawn times for the power weapons, and -Yoink!- them the whole game. That kind of killed the fun of the game to me. Unpredictability? Way more entertaining than seeing the same guy camping the same corner for a power weapon.

cause it was so hard to figure out that the weapons respawn every 3 minutes at the exact same spot. if you can’t figure that out how did you learn to drive

I didn’t care to learn the times, because I don’t treat video games like a job. I knew locations, and that was enough.

Conman577: “i can’t keep track of time, therefore anyone that can is a weapon -Yoink!-. i liek the new system now because instead of using skill and timing, i run around and get weapons falling from the sky. also anyone that checks the timer is a camper and treats the game like a job.” (funny enough, many semi-pros and pros make many of gaming so…)

I understand your point… but let me just point out to you (maybe you haven’t noticed so far), that personal ordinance drops are generally random, BUT they will be strongly influenced by your play style!

Srsly guys!

Do you want a Sniper Rifle?
You just gotta play a lot with distance weapons like DMR and make a certain amount of kills with it! - In my case it works surely 4 our of 5 times!

Do you want a SAW gun?
Play and make a lot of kills with the Assault Rifle! Your next ordinance will for 90% be a SAW gun! The 10 remaining percent might be the needler as it surely is in the same AR-related category…

Haven’t figured out how to get a higher probability for rocket launchers tough… anybody have an idea? Maybe making a lot of grenade kills?

Conman, the vast majority of Power Weapons in previous games were either on a 120s or a 180s timer. You could either be told/find out yourself online which were which, or find out in gameplay. Fives minutes work online hardly constitutes a ‘job’.

> Haven’t figured out how to get a higher probability for rocket launchers tough… anybody have an idea? Maybe making a lot of grenade kills?

Ha… here I am quoting myself
But now I remember that I did try the grenades a lot and that most of the time resulted in receiving the sticky detonator! So how can I force the rocket launchers in my ordnance???

It is entirely luck based which makes playing the game pointless.

The better players should always win = Halo 4 has been dumbed down to cater to the casual Call of Duty audience.

I’ll take the Needler… just sayin.

Ordanance isn’t game changing. Every power weapon in there, aside from snipers and rocket launchers, will lose to a 2v1 no matter how good said players are, and no matter the situation.

So you’re saying that whoever has power weapons wins?

I was obviously doing it wrong killing people with SAWs, shotguns, swords and detonators with only an AR and grenades then.

Strawman argument is bad, lame and, above all, WRONG.
